Delfines de La Guaira sacó provecho del día libre de este pasado lunes y luego de sucumbir en sus primeras dos jornadas del campeonato durante el fin de semana, recargó baterías para derrotar a Marineros de Carabobo el martes y repetir la dosis contra Samanes de Aragua este miércoles por la noche en el estadio Jorge Luis García Carneiro de Macuto, con un triunfo por marcador de 4-2 que le permitió nivelar su récord en el vigente certamen. Después de que las dos entradas iniciales transcurrieran sin novedades en la pizarra, los visitantes picaron adelante en el tercer acto con un sencillo remolcador de Eduardo Díaz. Sin embargo, la respuesta de los litoralenses no se haría esperar y en la parte baja del cuarto tramo Rougned Odor sacudió un doble productor de una y Oswaldo Arcia agregó un imparable que fletó a al camarero para darle ventaja a los locales. Aragua igualó el compromiso en el sexto inning, pero sencillos impulsores de Gorkys Hernández y Arcia en el cierre del octavo sentenciaron el desafío a favor de los dirigidos por Eliézer Alfonzo. Senadores deja tendido (3-4) a Samanes y sigue invicto en la temporada
Caracas- Senadores de Caracas vivió este martes 21 de abril una jornada muy especial, ya que inauguraron la temporada 2026 en su estadio, el Parque de la Ciudad Universitaria y lograron extender su invicto. Esto después de vencer al actual campeón, los Samanes de Aragua, en entradas extras y con una pizarra de 4 carreras por 3. El pitcheo de ambas organizaciones fue el centro de atención de los fanáticos que se citaron a la UCV esta noche. De hecho, de las siete carreras que anotaron, solamente cuatro fueron limpias, ya que los corredores que pisan el plato por la regla panamericana no cuentan como limpias en el box score. Por los locales, Yunieski García laboró por espacio de tres innings y dos tercios, permitió seis hits, con una rayita limpia, un boleto y cuatro ponches. El derecho se fue sin decisión, mientras que Ángel Cuenca tuvo una actuación similar con el “Gigante de Aragua”. Ante los capitalinos, cumplió con una actuación de tres y dos tercios de dos carreras limpias, dos boletos y un abanicado. Lázaro Alonso estrenó la pizarra en el propio primer episodio, cuando pescó un lanzamiento del mismo Cuenca y la desapareció por todo el jardín izquierdo.
