Postseason fever: Are Nebraska baseball and softball positioned for deep tourney runs?
Postseason fever: Are Nebraska baseball and softball positioned for deep tourney runs?

We’ve got a special Sunday night episode, featuring the Nebraska baseball and softball teams. Will Bolt’s team swept Iowa in front of 22,815 fans over the weekend. It took some late-inning drama on Saturday and Sunday, but the Huskers are 37-14 and back in decent shape to make a run at hosting a regional with four regular-season games left. We update that chase and the Huskers’ pitching situation after the bullpen faltered at times against the Hawkeyes. Rhonda Revelle’s squad beat UCLA after a tense moment in the third inning on Saturday to win the Big Ten softball tournament. The Huskers are 46-6 and will host a regional in Lincoln, starting Friday. If they advance and the bracket holds, a fun, made-for-TV matchup awaits in the super regional round next week. Spotify Camp Nou exploded with joy as Barcelona officially clinched their 29th LALIGA title in the most poetic way possible, a 2-0 victory over rivals Real Madrid 🔥 Under the emotional guidance of Hansi Flick, who took to the dugout despite the tragic passing of his father just hours before, the Blaugrana maintained their perfect home record (18 for 18). Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford set the tone with a sensational early free-kick that left Thibaut Courtois helpless, before Ferran Torres doubled the lead in the 18th minute. UTRGV Baseball Closes Out Regular Season with Win Over Tarleton State

GoUTRGV.com May 10, 2026 – STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros baseball closed out the regular season with a 4-2 victory over the Tarleton State Texans on Sunday at Tarleton State Baseball Complex. UTRGV advances to the Lamar Bracket of the Southland Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed facing No. 6 seed Northwestern State Thursday at 1 p.m. The winner faces the winner of No. 2 Lamar and No. 7 Stephen F. Austin Friday at 6 p.m. while the losers of each game Thursday play an elimination game Friday at 1 p.m. All games of the Southland Conference Tournament are available on ESPN+. In this game, junior Easton Moomau led the Vaqueros (26-27) offensively by going 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, and two runs scored. Moomau led off the second with a 419’ home run to center to put the Vaqueros up 1-0. It was Moomau’s sixth home run of the season. Moomau started a two-run rally in the sixth with a single. The Vaqueros went on to load the bases with two outs, setting up a two-run double by junior Rocco Garza Gongora to put the Vaqueros up 4-1. It was Garza Gongora’s 19th double of the season, tied with Ivan Estrella (2017) and Osiel Flors (2007) for the second-highest single-season total in program history. The program record of 23 is held by Garrett Bivone (2010). The Texans (33-17) tied the game at 1 in the fourth when Slade McCloud drew a leadoff walk from sophomore Mason Engel (1-1), stole second, moved to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a Cage McCloud sacrifice fly. In the fifth, though, senior Rene Galván drew a leadoff walk from Ashton Bassett (1-4). Graduate student Vela alum Rudy Gonzalez followed with a single. One out later, senior Thomas Williams hit a grounder to the right side. The throw to second sailed into left field, allowing Galván to score to put the Vaqueros up 2-1. The Texans pulled within 4-2 in the seventh when Rayner Heinrich drew a bases loaded walk. Freshman Augie Grohman pitched 2.0 scoreless innings for his first-career save. Senior Los Fresnos alum Víctor Loa started and struck out three in 2.0 scoreless innings.

Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru | Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Live Match Today | Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur | Live Cricket Match Today | Live Scores & Commentary | Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Live Cricket Match Today | AAJ KA MATCH | Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Live Score #livescore #livestream #ipllive Preview Royal Challengers Bengaluru arrive in Raipur at an awkward stage of the season, where momentum can become fragile as quickly as it is built. Their loss to Lucknow Super Giants served as a reminder of how volatile the playoffs race can become at this stage of the competition - although RCB did hold on to third spot, the gap has now narrowed. Teams with little to lose often become the most dangerous opponents, playing with urgency and freedom in equal measure, capable of unsettling the carefully assembled order above them. Mumbai Indians now walk into that role. Their campaign has hovered on the edge for weeks, leaving little room for slip-ups, and the timing of this fixture gives it the feel of a last push to stay relevant in the playoff race. For RCB, who have largely spent the season shaping themselves as one of the league's frontrunners, the challenge is about avoiding the kind of stumble that can drag them back into the mid-table scramble. The venue adds another layer to the contest. Raipur hosts RCB's final two home games, adding a degree of unfamiliarity for all involved, perhaps even more so for the designated hosts given MI have already spent some time here ahead of the fixture while RCB have had only about an hour's practice at this venue. RCB's recent wobble has also coincided with a few smaller disruptions beginning to add up. Phil Salt's absence has unsettled the balance at the top of the order, with Jacob Bethell yet to make a significant impact. Much of RCB's batting success this season has come from the tempo established in the Powerplay, and that rhythm has looked a touch less certain in the recent outings. There are bowling concerns too, particularly around Josh Hazlewood. After spending much of the tournament dictating terms with hard lengths and bounce, the fast bowler has endured a couple of expensive outings. A clearer counter-template against him has started to emerge, placing greater responsibility on the rest of RCB's attack to absorb pressure. For MI, the middle order has been a major concern, with the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya not quite delivering the output expected of them. They've also failed to make early incisions with the ball - something Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult are renowned for - allowing oppositions to settle far too quickly and dictate the tempo. That, in turn, has repeatedly left MI chasing the game rather than controlling it. It has also added further strain on Jasprit Bumrah, who has rarely had the benefit of sustained pressure from the other end and has consequently spent much of the season firefighting. When: RCB vs MI, Match 54 - Sunday, May 10 at 7:30 PM IST Where: Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur What to expect: Since 2023, Raipur has hosted two T20Is - against Australia in December 2023 and vs New Zealand in January 2026. India defended 174 against Australia and overhauled a total of 208 against New Zealand. The year 2016 was the last time an IPL game was held at this venue, with Virat Kohli having some familiarity having scored 54 not out in RCB's win against the Delhi team. From MI's perspective, Suryakumar has some familiarity here too, having struck an unbeaten 82 off 37 here in India's T20I win against New Zealand earlier this year. Head to head: MI have a 19-16 advantage over RCB in matches involving the two teams. In recent years though, RCB have a slight upper hand, having won three and lost two against MI since 2023. #IPL2026 #MIvsRCB #RCBvsMI #RoyalChallengersBengaluru #MumbaiIndians #TATAIPL ⚠️ Disclaimer: This channel shares live scores, data & original commentary in hindi language for cricket matches. The Lakers are Cooked
The Lakers are Cooked

The LA Lakers have done a lot of good things in their semifinal matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder, which includes holding the reigning MVP to just 21 points per game on 45% shooting. All of it has been good enough to drop into a 3-0 hole on an average margin of 20 point beat downs per game. And the leaders of this team, starting with JJ and Bron simply have no belief or fight left in this one.
