Issuing a notice this evening, the local level said that the flash flood in the Melamchi River on June 15 was the result of a landslide at Bhemadhang ground below the Mt. Semesidang. The rural municipality further said that 25 percent of the ground had collapsed due to the landslide and it was not sure what would happen in the remaining part while urging the folks to remain alert and apply utmost precautions as chances are likely for the flood. The swollen Melamchi River on Wednesday had wreaked havoc in Melamchi and Helambu areas, killing some people and sweeping away many while dozens of houses were damaged in the flood. The water level in the river is yet to recede and that has caused panic to the local people. 3Days 2Night Pangi Valley Motrobike Ride Across Sach Pass
The daddy of all mountain passes in the Himalayas, #SachPass, is situated in one of the secluded corners of Pangi Valley. After seeing #Ladakh and #Spiti and being bitten by the adventure travel bug, every adventurer seeks out a Sach Pass journey. During the last decade, this massive mountain pass has lived up to its reputation as a site of great adventure and bad roads for any motor vehicle travel enthusiast. Why not, after all? Any trip to Sach Pass is fraught with unknowns, including whether or not the roads are open, active landslides, many river crossings, innumerable waterfalls, horrible road conditions, and 20-foot snares. At a height of 4,420 metres, Sach Pass is part of the Pir Panjal Range in the Himalayas (14500 feet). It connects the Chamba Valley/Churah Valley in Himachal Pradesh with the Pangi Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Sach Pass is around 175 kilometers from #Dalhousie. The pass is open every year from late June or early July to mid-October, after which it closes for the winter after heavy snowfall. Once it is open, the locals favour this route as well. Chamba – Manali – Udaipur Killar is about 680 kilometres, and Chamba – Jammu – Doda – Gulabgarh – Kishtwar – Killar is about 570 kilometres. It is also the quickest route from Pathankot to Leh via the Manali – Leh Highway. #PangiValley and Chamba Valley are connected by Sach Pass in Himachal Pradesh. From Delhi, there are three options for getting to Sach Pass. You can take any of these three paths to get to Pangi Valley. However, keep in mind that all of these routes will have severe road conditions. Each of these routes has its own allure and varying degrees of driving difficulties. Dharwas, Luj, Sural, Hundan, Findroo, Findar, Mindhal, Parmar, and other attractive locations to visit in Pangi Valley nearby Killar. Many lovely settlements may be found across the Pangi Valley. There is a PWD rest house in Cherry and a couple simple guesthouses in Killar where you can stay in solitude. Mike Smith added 7 points, but it was the inside defense, especially from Hunter Dickinson that helped Michigan get out to the strong lead. D’Mitrik Trice led the way for the Badgers with 7 points, but Aleem Ford, Micah Potter, Brad Davison and Nate Reuvers really struggled to get going. 2nd Half: Michigan continued their defensive highlights by finishing up a 36-3 run. Hunter Dickisnon, Franz Wagner, Isaiah Livers and Mike Smith were tremendous today. French rugby paper Midi Olympique laid into its national team after their Six Nations capitulation against England at Twickenham, labelling the loss 'Waterloo' on its front page. France lost 44-8, with Jonny May scoring a 30-minute hat-trick and Henry Slade, Owen Farrell and a penalty try ensuring a landslide result as the visitors suffered a second defeat of the tournament. The paper used its front page to call for fundamental change to Jacques Brunel's team amid a poor run of form for the national team. Alongside the headline, was the text: 'It is to cry, the XV of Jacques Brunel's France never existed against England. 'The Blues took a real lesson in rugby, cold and humiliating. 'It is urgent to change everything.' The loss to England comes after a 24-19 defeat to Wales in the opening round, having held a 16-0 half-time lead. Alarm bells had sounded for France after a mixed Autumn campaign which saw a 28-13 win over Argentina sandwiched between a 29-26 loss to South Africa and a 21-14 reverse against Fiji.
