The Mountaineers controlled the weekend from start to finish, outscoring Kansas State 29-7 across three games and winning each contest by at least seven runs. WVU broke open a tight game with a five-run fourth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Brodie Kresser, Matt Ineich, and Sean Smith. After Kansas State trimmed the deficit in the eighth, the Mountaineers answered emphatically with a six-run frame, powered by home runs from Tyrus Hall, Gavin Kelly, and Smith. Paul Schoenfeld continued his strong series with multiple hits, finishing the weekend with eight total.
