RESUMEN 4 ETAPA TOUR de los ALPES 2022 Miguel Ángel SUPERMAN LOPEZ ATAQUE PODEROSO GANADOR TOUR de los ALPES 2022 Miguel Ángel López ha podido redimirse de su polémica salida de Movistar demostrando su carácter ofensivo en la carretera y ganando la cuarta etapa del Tour de los Alpes. El ciclista de Astana atacó del grupo de favoritos en la tendida subida final y, a un kilómetro de meta, logró alcanzar a Thibaut Pinot, único superviviente del nutrido grupo de escapados. El colombiano rebasó al francés sin pestañear y llegó en solitario a meta. En meta contrastó la alegría del ganador, que dedicó el triunfo a su hijo, con las lágrimas del corredor del Groupama, que había tenido en las manos lograr su primer triunfo desde 2019. Puesto que López no se encuentra en la pelea por la general, Pello Bilbao mantiene el liderato a tan solo una jornada para el final, aunque cede unos segundos ante Romain Bardet, que finalizó tercero en meta, bonificando. Si López no lo hubiera impedido, el triunfo habría correspondido, al igual que en el día previo, a un hombre de la fuga. Por este motivo, entrar en ese corte no fue sencillo. De hecho, el definitivo de Pinot no fue el que se formó en la primera parte de la carrera. Antes que ese, tomaron la cabeza 11 ciclistas, antes del ascenso al Kartitscher Sattel. Entre ellos se encontraban los españoles David de la Cruz (Astana), José Félix Parra (Kern Pharma) e Iker Ballain (Euskaltel), así como el brasileño Vinicius Rangel (Movistar), entre otros. Su intento no duró mucho, pero sí que permitió a Geoffrey Bouchard coronar en cabeza y vestirse con la ‘maglia’ de la montaña al término de la etapa. En un tramo favorable previo a la subida al Gailberg Sattel, no exento de algunas caídas, quince corredores tomaron ventaja: Natnael Tesfatsion (Drone Hopper), Jonathan Caicedo y Merhawi Kudus (EF), Abner González (Movistar), Thibaut Pinot (Groupama), Fabio Felline y Sebastián Henao (Astana), Nicolas Prodhomme (AG2R), Unai Iribar (Euskaltel), Ben Swift y Andrey Amador (INEOS), Matteo Fabbro y Anton Palzer (BORA), Igor Arrieta (Kern Pharma) y Omer Goldstein (Israel). Su ventaja llegó a ser superior a los dos minutos, por lo que parecía factible que llegaran a meta en priemr lugar. Pero en la ascensión final INEOS y EF endurecieron la marcha, tras el trabajo del Bahrain, y neutralizaron a la mayoría de ellos. Previamente habían comenzado los ataques en cabeza, marchándose Swift, Caicedo, Goldstein e Iribar. El israelí y el ecuatoriano parecían los más fuertes, pero la distancia sobre el resto de compañeros de fuga no era muy grande. Esto lo aprovechó Pinot para atacar y tomar la delantera. El pelotón alcanzó al resto de fugados, así como a Mikel Bizkarra, que lo había probado en el terreno ascendente. A tres kilómetros de la cima, viendo que la desventaja era de apenas medio minuto, saltó con mucha fuerza Miguel Ángel López, quien gozaba de libertad de movimiento al encontrarse muy descolgado en la general. El colombiano rodó de forma imparable, alcanzando a Pinot en el kilómetro final y arrebatándole el triunfo que llevaba buscando durante tanto tiempo. Bardet dio tiempo al grupo del líder y Bilbao mantiene el primer puesto en la general a falta de una etapa. Tan solo 116 kilómetros, aunque con cuatro ascensiones, le separan del triunfo, pero las exiguas diferencias existentes entre los favoritos mantendrán la carrera abierta hasta que se cruce la meta en Lienz.

Einer Rubio y 15. Esteban CHAVES ... Nunca es tarde si la dicha es buena. Y si no que se lo digan a Geoffrey Bouchard, que no se convirtió en ciclista profesional hasta que tuvo 27 años. Tres años después, el galo se había hecho con los maillots de la montaña de la Vuelta a España 2019 y el Giro de Italia 2021, pero aún no había alzado los brazos en meta. En 2018 logró la victoria como amateur en el Tour de Alsacia (2.2), pero su primer triunfo profesional había quedado reservado para otra gran actuación en solitario en terreno quebrado. En la primera etapa del Tour de los Alpes, el corredor de AG2R pudo finalmente festejar el ansiado triunfo, siendo el único integrante de la fuga de salida que no sucumbió al ritmo del pelotón. El equipo INEOS trató de evitarlo, pero se quedó a las puertas. Pello Bilbao (2º) fue el más rápido del grupo, a apenas unos segundos del ganador. Bouchard logró integrar la fuga del día, que tardó en formarse bastantes kilómetros. El francés rodó junto al Asier Etxeberria (Euskaltel), Mattia Bais (Drone Hopper), Vinicius Rangel (Movistar), Ben Zwiehoff (Bora) y Emanuel Zangerle (Tirol KTM). Sus opciones se tornaron cada vez más serias a medida que el grupo llegó a tener casi 8 minutos de ventaja. El grupo de cabeza se seleccionó en el ascenso al Passo Brocon, donde los primeros en perder el contacto fueron Zangerle -vencedor del sprint intermedio- y el brasileó Rangel. A 5 kilómetros de la cima, Bouchard y Zwiehoff demostraron que se encontraban mejor que sus rivales y se marcharon en solitario. Bais y Etxeberria se mantuvieron a una distancia aún salvable y lograron conectar en el descenso. En el Passo Gobbera, la otra dificultad montañosa del día, aceleró Zwiehoff y solo pudo seguirle Bouchard, quien no tardó en lanzar su propio movimiento para marcharse en solitario. Eolo se unió a la persecución en el pelotón, pero no había suficiente orden en un grupo bastante reducido por el desnivel de la jornada. Tras varios ataques en el primer paso por meta, INEOS tomó de nuevo la marcha y alcanzó a los ciclistas intercalados, pero Bouchard mantenía aún un minuto y medio.
