MATCH 1: Peshawar Zalmi won by 8 runs Asked to bat first at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi posted a mammoth 201/5 in their full quota of 20 overs, thanks to their skipper Babar Azam’s unbeaten century and Saim Ayub’s 21-ball 38. For Islamabad United, skipper Shadab Khan grabbed 2 scalps. In response, Islamabad United lost wickets at crucial intervals and could only manage 193/9 in their allotted 20 overs. With just 22 needed off the final 12 balls, and six wickets remaining, Islamabad United were still favourites. But Arif Yaqoob turned things around in the penultimate over as he bagged 4 wickets and gave just 2 runs. Yaqoob finished with a 5-wicket haul.
