Titans vs Steelers at Heinz Field POV - Section 144
Yinzer Dad and Cousin Joe made a trip to Heinz Field on 12-19-2021 to see the Tennessee Titans take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. We wanted to take you with us from entering the city, "tailgating" on the North Shore and also a POV from Section 144, Row Y at Heinz Field. This also could have possibly been Ben Roethlisberger last Sunday home game at Heinz Field. Ben is rumored to be hanging up the cleats after a HOF worthy 18 seasons. Non bastano i 19 punti del bomber sloveno Rok Mozic, top scorer dei gialloblù, e delle buone percentuali in attacco di Jensen. IL REPORT Stoytchev schiera dall’inizio Spirito, Asparuhov, Mozic, Nikolic, Jensen, Zanotti e libero Bonami. Inizio di partita equilibrato con Spirito che gioca su tutta la linea d’attacco e Milano efficace dai 9 metri. Jaeschke mette a terra una pipe di potenza e porta avanti i suoi, ma Verona risponde subito a tono a riporta tutto in parità con un super Mads Jensen quando siamo sul 12-12. Nikolic è inarrestabile in posto 3 ed è proprio un suo gran primo tempo a siglare il sorpasso scaligero per il momentaneo 16-17. Piazza chiama il time out e Rado Stoytchev sostituisce proprio il centrale serbo con Aguenier. I gialloblù cercano l’allungo, ma Milano non molla un colpo e trova nel servizio di Maiocchi la chiave per riconquistare la parità sul tabellone sul 22-22. Finale di set combattutissimo, ma a portarlo a casa per 24-26 è Verona grazie alla tenacia in difesa e ad un gran colpo di Asparuhov. Il secondo parziale conferma la tendenza del precedente con le due squadre a battersi punto a punto, poi Milano commette un errore di troppo e concede il fianco ai gialloblù che ringraziano e volano a +2. Ma il vantaggio veronese dura pochissimo perchè i meneghini pescano un monster block di Chinenyeze su Mozic e l’ace di Ishikawa che riporta tutto in equilibrio sull’11-11. Patry mette a segno il punto del sorpasso, Asparuhov spara fuori da posto 4 e Stoytchev è così costretto a chiamare il time out per cercare di raddrizzare il set. 18-13 ora il parziale. Verona acquista terreno con due rasoiate di Jensen che riaccendono la rincorsa gialloblù, ma Ishikawa continua a fare male anche sui palloni più difficili mantenendo i suoi saldamente al comando a +3. Gli scaligeri si battono su ogni pallone bruciando 2 set point a Milano, ma a chiudere i giochi e a consegnare il parziale ai padroni di casa sul definitivo 25-22 è un gran mani fuori di Patry. Gli uomini di Piazza cavalcano l’onda e partono subito forte portandosi avanti grazie soprattutto all’opposto francese Jean Patry, ancora protagonista dopo aver messo il sigillo al set precedente. Verona stringe i denti e riconquista la parità sul 10-10 con Rok Mozic a guidare l’offensiva scaligera. Si torna a giocare punto a punto, ma sono i ragazzi di Stoytchev a tentare la fuga portandosi a +2 con l’ace di Lorenzo Cortesia, chirurgico dai 9 metri. Milano non ci sta e reagisce centrando parità e controsorpasso con due murate perentorie di Jaeschke e Piano che portano i padroni di casa sul 21-19. Patry colpisce forte al servizio impedendo al neo entrato capitan Raphael di impostare l’offensiva. Milano conclude la volata e chiude il set sul 25-20. Nel quarto set è ancora Milano a condurre, con Verona ancora troppo fragile in ricezione. Aguenier pesca un buon turno al servizio e accorcia le distanze sul tabellone, ma i meneghini salvano ogni pallone e contrattaccano con forza mantenendo il vantaggio sul +2. Gli scaligeri non riescono a trovare soluzioni e il divario si allarga. 18-14 ora il punteggio. I battitori di Milano continuano ad insidiare i ricevitori ospiti e a chiudere a porta in faccia alle bocche da fuoco gialloblù che soffrono.
