Miro Heiskanen and Jamie Benn each had a goal and assist for the Stars (15-12-2), which has won its past two games following a five-game losing streak. Jake Oettinger made 19 saves. Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists, and Kevin Fiala scored twice for the Wild (19-9-2), who have lost four in a row (0-3-1). Cam Talbot made 22 saves. Tyler Seguin put the Stars back in front less than a minute later after a drop pass from Denis Gurianov to make it 3-2. Roope Hintz made it 4-2 with a power play goal from the left face-off dot at 8:02 of the second period. Kaprizov cut it to 4-3 at 17:37 with a shot from a sharp angle in the right circle. Jacob Peterson's shot deflected off Alex Goligoski's stick and got past Talbot at 2:06 of the third period to make it 5-3, and Heiskanen extended the Stars lead a minute later to make it 6-3 at 3:06. Fiala cut it to 6-4 at 15:06 during a power play and Talbot pulled for an extra attacker. Benn scored an empty-net goal at 18:28 for the 7-4 final. Wild forward Joel Eriksson Ek left the game at 10:35 of the second period because of an upper-body injury. Maurice resigned Friday, hours before the Jets' 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals in Dave Lowry's NHL coaching debut. Nikolaj Ehlers had a goal and three assists and Paul Stastny scored two goals and had his 500th NHL assist and for the Jets (14-11-5), who won for the first time in four games (1-2-1). Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves. Jordan Binnington made 30 saves in his first start since Nov. 30 for the Blues (17-9-5) whose point streak ends at seven games (5-1-2). Binnington missed seven games in COVID-19 protocol then served as backup to Charlie Lindgren in a 4-1 win against the Dallas Stars on Friday. Ehlers gave the Jets a 1-0 lead at 4:40 of the second period. Vladimir Tarasenko tied it 1-1 at 13:47 of the second, scoring off an Ivan Barbashev cross-ice pass on a 2-on-3 rush. Mark Scheifele scored on a wrist shot from the high slot to make it 2-1 Jets at 16:47 of the second. Stastny extended it to 3-1 at 4:40 of the third period. Niko Mikkola scored shorthanded to cut it to 3-2 at 14:28 of the third before Stastny made it 4-2 at 14:44 with a power-play goal. Caleb Jones scored the winning goal off the rebound of Kirby Dach's shot on a 2-on-1 at 1:21 of overtime. Alex DeBrincat, Philipp Kurashev and MacKenzie Entwistle scored in a 34-second span in the second period for Chicago (11-15-2). Patrick Kane got his 700th NHL assist, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 42 saves for win No. 501. Conor Sheary scored the tying goal with three seconds remaining in the third period for Washington (17-6-6). Ilya Samsonov made 24 saves. DeBrincat scored his second power-play goal of the game with 5:00 left to give the Blackhawks a 4-3 lead. Ovechkin passed to Sheary to tie it 4-4. The goal was upheld after a video review for offside. Ovechkin made it 1-0 when he scored power-play goal No. 274, at 3:36 of the second period off a pass from T.J. Oshie. He tied Dave Andreychuk for most in NHL history. Nicklas Backstrom, who made his season debut after missing 28 games while recovering from a left hip injury, also had an assist, the center's 115th on an Ovechkin power-play goal. DeBrincat tied it 1-1 at 13:55, with 10 seconds remaining on a 5-on-3 advantage off a pass through the crease from Kane. Kurashev made it 2-1 on a backhand on the power play at 14:13, and Entwistle increased the lead to 3-1 at 14:29 when he scored on a backhand from the crease off a rebound. Daniel Sprong pulled the Capitals within 3-2 at 19:18 with a wrist shot from the left circle. Eller tied it 3-3 at 11:57 of the third period when he poked a backhand past Fleury. Sidney Crosby had two assists to become the 14th player in NHL history with 400 multipoint games, helping the Pittsburgh Penguins extend their winning streak to five games with a 5-2 victory against the Montreal Canadiens at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday. Crosby, who is the only active player to reach that mark, has scored 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 16 games this season after missing the first seven because of offseason wrist surgery. COACH FRENCHY DOES THE LIVE STREAM PLAY-BY-PLAY NHL GAME BETWEEN THE FLORIDA PANTHERS VS ARIZONA COYOTES Panthers hang on, send Coyotes to fourth loss in row Score 10 seconds apart in first period; Wedgewood makes 20 saves for Arizona Patric Hornqvist and Sam Bennett scored 10 seconds apart in the first period of the Florida Panthers' 3-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Friday. Hornqvist and Sam Reinhart had a goal and an assist each and Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves for the Panthers (18-4-4), who won their fourth in five games (4-0-1). They lead the NHL with 40 points. Phil Kessel scored a power-play goal and Scott Wedgewood made 20 saves for the Coyotes (5-19-2). Arizona lost its fourth in a row and sixth in seven games. Hornqvist scored on a wrist shot from the left face-off circle for a 1-0 Florida lead at 9:05. Arizona won the ensuing face-off but turned the puck over in the neutral zone, and Bennett's open wrist shot from the high slot at 9:15 made it 2-0. Kessel scored Arizona's first power-play goal in 10 games since Nov. 16 (0-for-18) at 16:53 of the first to cut it to 2-1. Reinhart answered on a Panthers power play less than three minutes later, scoring from above the circles to make it 3-1 at 19:35. Florida reached 40 points in the fewest games (26) in its history, besting the previous low of 27 games in 2020-21 and 1996-97. The Panthers were 0-3-4 in their previous seven road games after starting the season 3-0-0. Bobrovsky is 9-2-1 in 12 games against Arizona. The Panthers were without forward Aleksander Barkov, who sustained an upper-body injury during a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. He has missed nine of the past 10 games to injury.
