2019 Boise State @ Florida State One Hour
Remember old time football? You know where football was played in rain, snow, heat, wind? It didn't matter, you played. Well no more. Gone are the days where players are mud-caked and fans are drenched. Lightning? Shut down the field for hours. Earthquake? Clear the stadium and postpone the game. Hurricane? Rearrange the schedule, move venues, and find out that the hurricane diverted anyway. Just play! That's football! But not in these modern times with television contracts and lawyers lurking. This game was slated for Jacksonville but moved because JAX was in the path of Dorian. Move it to Tallahassee where we were fortunate they didn't postpone this game between Boise State and Florida State because of high humidity. James Blackmun and new Bronco quarterback Hank Backmeier put on a show so sit back, relax, and enjoy the opening weekend of college football.

The role of basketball players as star performers is explored and celebrated in this documentary produced by NBA Entertainment. Some players over the years have stood out for their flashy play on the hardwood, and what makes someone a true performer is demonstrated with a wealth of game footage featuring some amazing ball handling and shooting from the likes of Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Isiah Thomas, and Jason Kidd. Footage from the archival vaults features the great Bob Cousy, and profiles of young star performers include Allen Iverson (whose relatively short stature is more than made up for with deft moves on the court), Shaquille O'Neal (who physically dominates just about anyone else), and Jason Williams (whose career is chronicled going back to home videos of his high-school playing days). Framing the action sequences are numerous interviews with players, coaches, and sportscasters, but that's really the icing on the cake. The whole point is to be dazzled by the flashy moves on the court in beautifully shot game footage. Some of the action is truly amazing, incredible passes and shots that bring crowds to their feet and will leave viewers at home scratching their heads and asking, "How'd he do that?"
‘Space Jam 2’: Michael Jordan doesn’t want LeBron James to star in sequel
If it were up to “His Airness,” the heir to his throne atop the Space Jam sequel wouldn”t be King James. While at his basketball camp, Michael Jordan was asked who he would like to see star in Space Jam 2, the follow up to the 1996 movie. While three-time NBA champ LeBron James is attached to star, Jordan said he would prefer another all star. “I would probably pick Blake Griffin,” Jordan said. While Griffin won”t get the key role in the Justin Lin-directed flick, he already has some experience with the movie. In 2014, the L.A. Clipper did a reading of the original Space Jam at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre where he played Jordan. He did so alongside Nick Kroll, Danielle Fishel and Seth Green. Griffin's fondness for the space basketball film doesn't end there. In a 2015 interview with Basketball Insiders, he said of the project, “I”d love to be involved in any capacity, really. Space Jam was a huge part of my childhood. I actually had a Space Jam-themed birthday party as a teen. What's Up YouTube, On First Take with Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith they discuss The Houston Rockets James Harden. Is James Harden the blame for the Rockets second round elimination? I think a good portion of the responsibility should fall on James Harden. If they were winning James would get a good portion of the credit, so he should have to take the credit for losing. You can not have your cake and eat it too, James Harden. I know it is a team sport. But The Houston Rockets bread and butter has been James Harden. Now all of the sudden he needs help and he can not continue from what he was doing in the regular season? That is not how it works. If you are balling in the regular season, you better be balling in the playoffs. At this point, everyone knows and was waiting for the playoffs, because James Harden has been known to choke. James Harden had a whole year to plan and make schemes on how to beat The Golden State Warriors, but obviously what he was trying to do did not work. James even resorted to super flopping! It really is a shame, because James Harden is a baller. He just needs to figure out how to carry over his excellence from the regular season to the playoffs. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang produced a European masterclass to guide us through to the Europa League final. Our top scorer netted a memorable hat-trick – and had a hand in the other – as we tamed the intimidating Mestalla with a fine attacking display to win the tie 7-3 on aggregate. The opening 10 minutes were played out to a deafening din inside the stadium, with the hosts starting strongly, pinning us back in our own half. And the decibel level rose yet higher when Kevin Gameiro put Valencia ahead. The striker slid home from close range after we were caught on the break. Ainsley Maitland-Niles had just had a shot saved, and Valencia exploited the gap left on our right hand side to create the opener. It was just what the vociferous home fans wanted. But six minutes later they were silenced by a magnificent Aubameyang strike. He raced onto Alexandre Lacazette's flick on and flashed home a superb volley from 20 yards. Aubameyang tried to return the favour for his strike partner as the half drew to a close, setting him up after a tremendous run on the right wing, but Lacazette's shot clipped the post before going wide. He made amends in the second half though, superbly held the ball up inside the area, wriggled into a shooting position and planted his shot low into the corner It meant Valencia now needed to score four more to qualify, and you could sense the belief ebbing away from the home team. They briefly rallied when Gameiro scored his second with a scrappy close-range finish, but Aubameyang restored our lead when he slid in at the near post to convert Ainsley Maitland-Niles' excellent low cross. Then came the icing on the cake. Aubameyang completed his first Gunners hat-trick late on, lashing home from the near post. It was the perfect way to round off a wonderful, and the Gabon striker's performance even brought warm applause from the home fans at the final whistle.
