Paul Pogba decision can help Thomas Tuchel complete Β£13m swoop as Chelsea lead transfer race Paul Pogba could have a huge say in the success of Chelsea's upcoming transfer window amid Todd Boehly's mission to bolster the first-team ahead of next season. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for a midfielder lately, with Jorginho and N'Golo Kante set to leave Stamford Bridge in twelve months. Declan Rice and Aurelien Tchouameni have emerged as primary targets of Thomas Tuchel, though the west Londoners have also been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot, according to reports. Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that Chelsea are leading the race to sign the Juventus midfielder this summer. The report adds that the 27-year-old, who sees his contract with the Turin-based side expire next summer, could be available for as little as β¬15 million (Β£12.8m). Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, but his agent is leaving the door open to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Rabiot's potential exit from Juventus coincides with the Old Lady's reported desire to bring back Pogba from Manchester United. Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Massimiliano Allegri's side are on the brink of resigning the midfielder, who has been offered a three-year deal worth around Β£10million-a-season. The report adds that Juventus are confident of getting a deal wrapped up, of which could be officially announced this week. Therefore, with Pogba's arrival on the cards, Allegri could have as many as six midfielders at his disposal next season. So, Juventus could be inclined to relinquish Rabiot's services, with Pogba helping Chelsea complete the first transfer of the Boehly era. The LA Dodgers co-owner, who agreed a Β£4.25billion deal to buy the west London club on Monday, is expected to 'push for A-list signings' to mark a new era at Stamford Bridge, according to the MailOnline. And, regardless of whether the American billionaire secures Rabiot's services, Tuchel is keen to undergo a rebuild at Chelsea this summer. Speaking to football.london, the Blues boss said: "We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging, but we are up for the challenge. "I don't know where we are from day one. What I can promise is that I will be here β if I can promise that β I will be here with full energy and positive energy no matter what. We will still work for Chelsea, and I refuse to think of negative scenarios. We will be competitive, on which level we will see."

After months of negotiations, the deal was finally approved on Wednesday morning when the government received legal guarantees that Roman Abramovich - who has had his UK assets frozen - would not benefit from the sale. The proceeds from the sale will be frozen in a UK bank account until the government has received further assurances that the money will solely go to support humanitarian causes in Ukraine. Russian-Israeli billionaire Abramovich put Chelsea, which he purchased in 2003, up for sale on March 2, a week after Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine on February 24. The takeover ends his 19-year ownership of the club and will see Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Boehly become Chelsea's controlling owner, even though California investment firm Clearlake Capital will assume the majority shareholding. It is reported the new owners plan to invest Β£1.75bn into the club, placing the overall takeover value at Β£4.25bn. #SkySportsNews #SkySports #Chelsea βΊ For the latest developments on this story: https://qrcode.skysports.com/skysports/topstories More from Sky Sports on YouTube: βΊ Sky Sports Retro: http://bit.ly/SkySportsRetroSub βΊ Sky Sports: http://bit.ly/SkySportsSub βΊ Sky Sports Football: http://bit.ly/SSFootballSub βΊ Sky Sports Boxing: http://bit.ly/SSBoxingSub βΊ Sky Sports F1: http://bit.ly/SubscribeSkyF1 βΊ Sky Sports Cricket: http://bit.ly/SubscribeSkyCricket βΊ Sky Sports Golf: https://bit.ly/SubscribeSkySportsGolf βΊ To enquire about licensing Sky Sports News content, you can find out more here: https://www.skysports.com/more-sports/news/31754/11434270/license-sky-sports-footage
