This pitch has been great for teams that have been chasing and the visitors will take confidence from that fact as they look to register an important win. Gujarat have a formidable bowling attack and with the home crowd behind them they will feel confident of defending the total they have put up on the board. Will they get back-to-back wins? Or will the visitors return to winning ways? Gujarat did not get off to the best of starts losing Wriddhiman Saha on a low score but his partner Shubman Gill continued to attack the bowlers. Hardik Pandya hung around for a bit but was dismissed as he looked to accelerate the scoring. Shubman Gill reached a well-constructed half-century but perished soon after and Vijay Shankar followed him back to the shed playing a loose shot. Abhinav Manohar and David Miller got together to put on a 71-run partnership in 35 deliveries as they provided the much-needed impetus towards the end of the inning. The former departed after scoring 41 in 21 deliveries while Miller fell four runs short of his fifty but did the necessary damage with Rahul Tewatia towards the end. The two hitters for the host took them beyond the 200-run mark and they will be silently confident of their chances in this game. David Miller and Rahul Tewatia have shown why they are the best finishers in the Indian T20 League! Gujarat have finished strong as they put on 70 runs in the last four overs and have 207 runs on the board which they will be mightily pleased with. Mumbai's death bowling woes continued as they were unable to wrap up the good effort they put in for the first 16 overs. Arjun Tendulkar and Jason Behrendorff bowled with discipline with the former drawing first blood. The spinners controlled the middle overs well with Piyush Chawla taking two crucial wickets and Kumar Kartikeya dismissing the dangerous-looking Shubman Gill. Cameron Green had an off day as he conceded 39 runs in two overs while Riley Meredith and Jason Behrendorff also went for plenty in their last overs despite taking one wicket each. Captain to captain and Hardik Pandya comes out on top against Rohit Sharma. This is banged in a bit shorter at 144 clicks and angled into the batter. Sharma tries to back away and play at it but gets himself into a real tangle. Sharma ends up half-pulling it but the ball comes off the leading edge and pops straight up. Pandya doesn't have to move much and takes a simple catch. Dream start for Gujarat. Also Cameron Green walks out to bat now. Connects one and gets the maximum result. Pitched up on off stump Cameron Green backs away and thumps it over the long off fence for a biggie. A real sorter from Hardik Pandya but it costs him four runs. Bangs in a quick bumper and gets it right around the helmet. Cameron Green looks to take it on but almost gets taken out. Wriddhiman Saha fails to get a hand on it and the ball runs away into the fence. In this IPL Mohammed Shami has bowled 70 dots in the first six overs which is the most by a bowler. Gets one away and that will help Ishan Kishan boost his confidence. Short of a length around middle and leg Kishan picks it up and short-arm jabs it over mid-wicket for a boundary. Mumbai Indians are struggling in the run chase of 208. They have lost Rohit Sharma very early to Hardik Pandya and have just 29 runs in six overs. Both Shami and Pandya bowled magnificently and kept the batters on bay. Green is trying to smash them but Kishan is unable to put proper bat on the ball. The home team will look to get their campaign back on track while the away side will be desperate for their second win of the season. A poor delivery and rightly punished! Washington Sundar darts this full and down the leg side David Warner goes down and sweeps it over short fine leg for a boundary. Hyderabad have suffered from inconsistency so far. They have had some good moments here and there but haven't managed to get the best out of all the departments at the same time. Aiden Markram will be hoping that his boys put their best foot forward in this one. Harry Brook will be looking to add to his tally of runs but he will need support from others and they need to avoid losing wickets in clumps. They have a good bowling attack with the raw pace of Umran Malik and the swing of Marco Jansen and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Delhi on the other hand finally managed to get their first win of the season in their last game but they almost made a mess of it in the end. However the win should give them a bit more confidence to express themselves on the field. David Warner has consistently scored runs for them without getting any support except from Axar Patel who has been their best all-round player. They will need a lot more from Mitchell Marsh and Prithvi Shaw while Anrich Nortje has been decent in the bowling department along with Kuldeep Yadav. Bhuvneshwar Kumar draws first blood! Salt goes back for a golden duck. Kumar lands this on a hard length and around off shaping away sharply Philip Salt looks to guide it towards third man but only manages to get a thin outside edge towards the keeper where Heinrich Klaasen pouches it safely. There is a muted appeal for the catch as nobody is sure but up goes the finger and the Hyderabad players are delighted. Delhi lose their first wicket! Marsh greets Marco Jansen with a boundary! Jansen begins with a full delivery on leg Marsh stays there and flicks it over mid-wicket for a boundary. Two in two! This is full again but on the pads Marsh glances it towards the fine leg fence for another boundary. Up and over! Jansen lands this on a good length and around off Mitchell Marsh strides forward a bit and slices it over point for the third boundary of the over. Shot of the match so far! Marco Jansen serves this full and on off Mitchell Marsh leans on to his drive and creams it through covers for four more runs. Marsh is finding the middle of the bat here! Believe it or not this is the first six for Warner in this season! Sundar floats this up full and around middle and leg David Warner goes down on his knees again and slog-sweeps it way over the deep square leg fence for a biggie. T Natarajan serves this full and on middle Mitchell Marsh goes for the big drive but his bat turns in his hands when he connects. However luckily for him the ball goes in the air and wide of mid on for a boundary. T Natarajan strikes! He gets the big man Mitchell Marsh! This is a really good review from Hyderabad. T Natarajan bowls this on a good length around middle and leg nips away a bit Mitchell Marsh looks to work it away but misses and gets hit on the pads. There is a huge appeal for LBW but turned down as it looks like pitching down the leg side. However UltraEdge shows that no bat involved and Ball Tracking indicates three reds. Hyderabad players starts celebrating but Marsh will have make that long walk back after a good cameo. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. IPL 2023 Match 23 Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals Live Scores This Match Will be Played at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad on 16th April 2023 This Match Will Start at 7.30pm From Indian Standard time. The ball did stop a bit in the deck on the odd occasion but with the dew taking effect the batting side will feel confident. Can Hardik Pandya and his men spring up a surprise and defend this total? Or will Rajasthan gun it down without a fuss? Rajasthan will be a tad bit disappointed with that bowling effort as there were occasions in the first innings that they had Gujarat on the back foot but simply couldn't capitalize. Trent Boult got an early wicket but was pretty expensive. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up just a single wicket in between them and went for a bit of runs as well. Adam Zampa though bowled really well and picked up a wicket. The pick of the bowlers once again was Sandeep Sharma who was riding high on confidence from the last game and bowled valiantly at the death picking up a couple of wickets as well. Rajasthan will feel that their batters will be able to chase this one down. Gujarat were pegged back early as Wriddhiman Saha fell in the very first over. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill looked to be forming a gritty stand but the former was run out and Gujarat looked in trouble. The skipper then walked in and played flamboyantly and Gill too found his groove. Pandya fell looking to keep up the ante and Gill too couldn't stay on for much longer. It was then some big hitting from Abhinav Manohar and David Miller in the death overs that really fired Gujarat to a total that they will feel is a good one. A flurry of big hits toward the end from the likes of David Miller and Abhinav Manohar has seen Gujarat post a solid total of 177 runs. It was a topsy-turvy first inning but going into the break Rajasthan will be the slightly happier of the two sides. That will ease the nerves a bit. Fullish length on the pads Devdutt Padikkal stays back and clips it aerially over the mid-wicket region to pick up a boundary the first of the run chase. Since joining GT in the IPL Hardik Pandya has had a strike rate of 190+ thrice in an innings in the first balls and two of those have come against RR- 21* off 10 (210) vs RR (2022) 19* off 10 (190) vs LSG (2022) & 19* off 10 (190) vs RR (today). Excellent delivery from Hardik Pandya and it is backed up really well by Shubman Gill in the field. Just short of a good length and very close to the off stump with the natural angle taking it away. Yashasvi Jaiswal gets cramped for room and ends up poking at it off the back foot. The ball takes the outside edge and goes to the left now first slip where Shubman Gill takes a sharp stop. Pandya is absolutely delighted. Ends with a boundary! Served on a Shortish length outside off and shaping away Sanju Samson stands tall and caresses it just behind the man at point for a lovely boundary. The dot-ball pressure does the trick and Jos Buttler departs playing an unnecessary shot here. Mohammad Shami keeps it on a good length and bowls it around off stump. Buttler shuffles right across the off stump and attempts the scoop. The ball angles in off the deck and beats the bat before knocking the off stump right off the ground. Buttler departs for a duck and Rajasthan are in early trouble here. Picked up and dispatched! Good length angled onto the pads Devdutt Padikkal flicks it effortlessly and over the backward square leg fence for a biggie. Bowled from over the wicket and pitched up around the fifth stump line. Devdutt Padikkal frees his arms and swings through the line before lofting it well over the wide long off fence for a biggie. #GQSports - #DeionSanders, #AllenIverson, and #DerekJeter are our first trio of inductees into a whole new kind of Hall. ____ Sponsor: ToBeSnatched.com Support: BiggDoggChico.com Alkaline Lyfe Complete Health Gummies: https://alkalinelyfehealth.com/buy?sid=GM43081744 Get Healthy! _______ Obviously, Neon Deion was a superhero. The way he could take over a game from the cornerback position (with a few punt returns thrown in) defied the fundamental logic and spatial layout of the game of football. Equally inspired was the way he freaked his uniform, from the creative innovation of his sweatband placement, to the towel he dangled from the front of his belt, to the bandana that would remain his signature between the hash marks. Meanwhile on the baseball diamond, he weaponized his blazing speed to turn singles into doubles and doubles into triples—his gold chain bobbing out of his jersey as he transformed himself into a Road Runner–like blur. To me, the act was no less immortal. Yet even in his two-sport heyday, Prime Time never made it to the prime real estate of the cover of GQ. Maybe Sanders—a guy who hobnobbed on the sidelines with MC Hammer in the “2 Legit 2 Quit” era of the Falcons, and famously drew a dollar sign in the dirt of the batter’s box—was just way too far ahead of his time culturally. All I can say is that the current editorial team wasn’t going to let the omission slide. Deion Sanders—one of humankind’s most swaggerific sportsmen—being forever overlooked by GQ? No way. Which is why I’m thrilled to announce this major new program that enables us to rectify the historical head-scratchers of the past and bring the cultural planets back into their rightful alignment. We are kicking off our new Style Hall with three covers that feature a trio of the coolest athletes of all time: Allen Iverson, Derek Jeter, and the man we now know as Coach Prime. To further mark the moment, we are also throwing a big ol’ event on Saturday, February 11 (yep, that’s the day before the Super Bowl), in Scottsdale, Arizona, where we’ll be interviewing all three cover stars in person onstage—and inducting them into our new Style Hall of Fame. Buy yourself a ticket and you can be there to celebrate with us too. Read “Deion Sanders Enters His Prime” This issue also marks Allen Iverson’s overdue debut on the cover of GQ. Incredible, given what we now take for granted: that A.I. brought culture itself to the forefront of the NBA, simply through his style. He went chain for chain with Puff and Biggie. He invented the tunnel fit. He provoked the infamous NBA dress code. And he inspired a generation of young men to emulate his every look and move—on and off the court. What can we say: When we get a chance to make it right, we make it all the way right. Mr. Iverson, it is an honor to give you the cover you have long deserved.
