আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচে জাতীয় দলের ফুটবলারদের সেই পুরনো প্রদর্শনীই দেখলো সিলেটের দর্শকরা। সহজ সহজ সুযোগ পেয়েও প্রতিপক্ষের জালে বল পাঠাতে ব্যর্থতা- মঙ্গোলিয়ার বিরুদ্ধেও এর ব্যতিক্রম কিছু দেখা গেলো না। ফিনিশিং ব্যর্থতার ধারাবাহিকতায় দেড় বছর পর ঘরের মাঠে আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচ খেলতে নেমে বাংলাদেশ পেলো না জয়ের দেখা। ফিফা র্যাঙ্কিংয়ে দুই ধাপ এগিয়ে থাকলেও ফুটবল শক্তিতে মঙ্গোলিয়াকে বাংলাদেশের চেয়ে এগিয়ে রাখা যায় না। দূর্বল সেই প্রতিপক্ষের সাথে গোলশুণ্য ড্র করে মাঠ ছড়লে জামাল ভুইয়ারা- আগের দিন এমন ফলের আশাই করেছিলেন মঙ্গোলিয়ার কোচ-অধিনায়ক। মালদ্বীপের সাথে হেরে আসা ম্যাচের একাদশে দু’টি পরির্বতন এনে মঙ্গোলিয়ার বিপক্ষে দল সাজান হাভিয়ের কাবরেরা। ৪-১-৪-১ ফরমেশনে বিশ্বনাথ ঘোষ ও বিপলু আহমেদের বদলে রিমন হোসেন ও আতিকুর রহমান ফাহাদকে খেলান তিনি। সিলেট জেলা স্টেডিয়ামে বিপুলসংখ্যক দর্শকের সমর্থন নিয়ে বলতে গেলে পুরো ম্যাচ জুড়েই ছিল বাংলাদেশের আধিপত্য। একবার ছাড়া আর গোলরক্ষক আনিসুর রহমান জিকোকে কঠিন কোনো পরীক্ষাই দিতে হয়নি। অন্যদিকে একের পর এক আক্রমন করেও শুধুমাত্র ফিনিশিং দূর্বলতার কারণেই গোল পায়নি বাংলাদেশের ফুটবলাররা। সেই সাথে দুর্ভাগ্য যোগ হওয়ায় পূরণ হয়নি মঙ্গোলিয়ার সাথে জয়ের আশা। খেলার দ্বিতীয় মিনিটেই গোলমুখে রাকিব হোসেনের ক্রস মঙ্গোলিয়ার গোলরক্ষকের হাত গলে বেরিয়ে গেলেও বলে পা ছোঁয়াতে পারেননি সুমন রেজা। পাঁচ মিনিট পর দু জনকে কাটিয়ে নিখুঁত পাস বাড়ান ইয়াসিন আরাফাত। অফসাইডের ফাঁদ ভেঙে বক্সে ঢুকে ভারসাম্য হারিয়ে পড়ে গিয়ে সুযোগ নষ্ট করেন ইব্রাহিম। বাংলাদেশের গোল না পাওয়ার হতাশা বাড়ে ৪১তম মিনিটে। সোহেল রানার পাস নিয়ন্ত্রণে নিয়ে বক্সের উপর থেকে শরীর ঘুরিয়ে শট নেন সুমন। গোলরক্ষককে ফাঁকি দিয়েও ক্রসবার লেগে বল ফিরে আসে। প্রথমার্ধের অতিরিক্ত সময়ে জামালের ফ্রি কিকে ইয়াসিনের হেড বুক দিয়ে নামিয়ে নেন সুমন রেজা। কিন্তু ক্রসবারের উপর দিয়ে মেরে নষ্ট করেন সেই সুযোগ। দ্বিতীয়ার্ধের ৭১ মিনিটে রিমনের নিচু পাসে জামালের ফ্লিক কর্নারের বিনিময়ে গোল বাঁচান গোলরক্ষক। যোগ করা সময়ে রায়হানের শটও যায় ক্রসবারের উপর দিয়ে। ভালো খেলেও গোল করতে না পারায় ড্র করেও ব্যর্থতার গ্লানি নিয়েই আরো একবার মাঠ ছাড়তে হলো বাংলাদেশের খেলোয়াড়দের। .....................................................................................................
