Iako su u posljednjem kolu Super lige 6 za prvaka Međunarodne ženske regionalne lige, košarkašice Čelika pobijedile Triglav iz Kranja – 59:55, Zeničanke neće učestvovati na final fouru, odnosno završnom trniru koji će se održati u Podgorici. Čelik i Kvarner su izjednačeni na tabeli ali Riječanke su u prednosti zbog pobjeda u obje međusobne utakmice (58:56, 64:57). Kvarner je večeras u Rijeci pobijedio Radivoj Korać sa uvjerljivih 71:50, čime je Čelik ostavio bez željenog plasmana na završnicu. Čelik je pred oko 300 gledalaca u Areni Zenica odigrao dobar meč ali vidjelo se da su djevojke trenera Slobodana Kecmana opterećene dešavanjima na parketu u Rijeci. Odlično su odigrale prvih 20 minuta, a kada je postalo jasno da u Rijeci “voda ne ide na njihov mlin”, tako su igračice Čelika i posustajale.
