2016 Sun Belt Softball Championship: Game 1 UL Monroe vs Georgia Southern Highlights
Sophomore Cheyanne Lyon laced a two-out, two-RBI double in the first inning to lead the No. 8 seed UL Monroe Warhawks past the No. 5 seed Georgia Southern Eagles in the first round of the 2016 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship. The game was the first of two single elimination games of the tournament. UL Monroe (24-32) advances to face No. 4 seed Georgia State at 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday. The Eagles finished their season with a 30-27 overall record.
2016 Sun Belt Basketball Championship Men's Semifinals Highlights UL Monroe vs UT Arlington
DeMondre Harvey had a career-high 21 points and UL Monroe advanced to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament final with an 82-71 victory over Texas-Arlington on Saturday. The second-seeded Warhawks (20-12) conceded the first 12 points of the game but responded with a 27-6 run and led the rest of the way. UL Monroe faces top-seeded Little Rock (28-4) on Sunday. Harvey was 9 of 9 from the floor with seven rebounds. Majok Deng had 18 points and Justin Roberson added 16 and eight assists for Louisiana-Monroe, which shot 50 percent from the floor, and 48 percent on 13-of-27 shooting from long range.
2016 Sun Belt Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinal Highlights UT Arlington vs Texas State
UT Arlington moved into the Sun Belt Championship semifinals by rallying past Texas State 72-63 Friday night at Lakefront Arena. The third-seeded Mavericks (23-9) will face No. 2 ULM (19-12) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Warhawks have yet to play in the league tournament after earning byes for the first two rounds. UTA played from behind for much of the contest against the No. 7 Bobcats. The Mavs wouldn't take their first lead until 8:01 remained, as Erick Neal hit two free throws for a 54-53 edge. Neal was instrumental down the stretch by getting to the rim and finding open teammates. The all-conference point guard finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

9/12/15: UL Monroe vs Nicholls State Highlights
Garrett Smith threw three touchdown passes and ran for another and UL Monroe beat Nicholls State 47-0 on Saturday night. Ajalen Holley had 155 yards receiving with two touchdowns for the Warhawks (1-1), who rebounded from their 51-14 loss on the road against Georgia last week. Smith ran for a 10-yard touchdown and connected with Holley on touchdown passes of 13 and 47 yards. Smith also threw a 17-yard scoring strike to Harley Scioneaux to help the Warhawks build a 40-0 halftime lead. Smith was 26 for 33 for 370 yards passing. Rashon Ceasar added 10 catches for 97 yards receiving.
