Sidney Crosby announces Team Canada's World Juniors captains in special video
Canadiens prospect Kaiden Guhle has been named Team Canada's captain for this year's World Juniors. Jets prospect Cole Perfetti and Blues prospect Jake Neighbours will serve as the alternate captains. The news was delivered to the team by a video from Sidney Crosby that was played on the ice at the end of practice on Monday.

Tokyo Olympics: Canada defeats Sweden, takes gold after nail-biting shootout in women's soccer final
The Canadian women's soccer team defeated Sweden in a stunning round of penalty kicks on Friday, bringing home gold after a tied game following extra time set the stage for a nail-biting shootout for both countries. It wasn't the only medal win either on Friday, after Mohammed Ahmed won silver in the men's 5,000-metre race and Andre De Grasse, Jerome Blake, Aaron Brown and Brendon Rodney won bronze in the 4x100-metre relay. As Crystal Goomansingh reports, there's still more to be played but as the Olympics are just days from ending, it was a photo finish for Canada on this final Friday taking home medals of all colours.
