Freshman Jordan Burch destroys the return man for Vanderbilt during the Gamecocks 41-7 victory over the Commodores. The team looked solid top to bottom and held the subpar Vandy squad, holding them to just one score.
The LA Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Buffalo Bills this past weekend, 35-32. Yes, there was a blown defensive pass interference call but that did not decide the game. There were plenty other miscues by the Rams that cost them the game. That being said, the Rams offense kept rolling and looked as good as ever outgaining the Bills on the ground and through the air. Jared Goff led the attack throwing for 321 yards, two touchdowns and one rushing TD. Goff looked crisp and decisive with the only blemish being an interception thrown into triple coverage. After three games, Goff is the third highest-rated quarterback according to Pro Football Focus and is light years ahead of his subpar 2019 performance. One of the biggest surprises of the young 2020 season is the emergence of second year running back Darrell Henderson. Henderson topped 100 rushing yards for the first time in his career with 114 yards on 20 carries, good for 5.7 yards per carry. Henderson had five carries for 10+ yards with his longest going for 14. He looked quick and decisive hitting the hole hard. Even though the Rams dug themselves a massive hole by falling behind by 25 points, head coach Sean McVay stayed with the balanced attack with 14 rushes and passes. This is refreshing to see as he and the Rams abandoned the run when trailing last year. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp led the Rams in targets, receptions and yards with 10/9/107 and a TD. He converted on third down and set up several key blocks throughout the game. Rookie Van Jefferson only appeared in eight snaps while fourth year receiver Josh Reynolds matched Kupp with 62 snaps. Aaron Donald continued to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines with two sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. He simply could not be blocked in the second half and wrecked the game for Josh Allen and company. In the end, the Rams could not hold onto the lead. Whether it was lapses by the defense, missed tackles or blown calls, they did not do enough to escape Buffalo with the win. #larams #ramsbills #buffalobills

Kobe Bryant was choked by an NBA player, trash talked back, and owned him but there’s more to it than that. #NBA #Kobe #TrashTalk Twitch- https://www.twitch.tv/mjallday2k Tik Tok- https://vm.tiktok.com/Vwagr2/ Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw The OUTRO song is OUT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SUYj3SUdUw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday Kobe Bryant has had his fair share of opponents who tried to shut him down and to rise up. Raja Bell was one of em that in his own words, “genuinely hated Kobe” with a long history before and after clotheslining Kobe so let’s break this down. So let’s go way back to a different NBA when teams were averaging 94.8 points per game. It’s the 2001 NBA Finals, Lakers vs Sixers. Most people remember Kobe and AI arguing, but don’t remember this young player named Raja Bell. And don’t worry Kobe didn’t either. Bell was a last minute addition to the Sixers, he got a 10 day contract in April of 2001 and ended up actually being an important piece because of his defense. So Bell guarded Kobe for long stretches in the finals. But nothing really came out of it. As Raja Bell recalls, "At that point, the only way I was going to play in the playoffs was to get out there and get in somebody's [face]. He was my job. I think people blew it out of proportion because it wasn't personal for me, and I don't think I was on his radar." The 2004-05 season was different. Raja Bell was on Jazz and was finally a regular in the rotation which meant more time defending Kobe. And based off of Raja, Kobe was hitting him in the face with elbows. It’s possible that what Raja Bell was saying is true, but that was never his real problem with Kobe. Bell was becoming one of those annoying defenders, a guy that wanted to try to claim the “Kobe Stopper” title. And to some extent, it was impacting Kobe. Still, Kobe averaged 42.5 points against the Suns in that regular season. When he was asked about how Bell was affecting him, he said "I've got bigger fish to fry than Raja Bell. Are you kidding me?". And then we have the 2006 playoffs, a very chippy, physical series. It’s the Suns vs Lakers, MVP Steve Nash and the dynamic seven second offense versus Kobe who averaged 35 points in the regular season dragging a subpar Lakers squad with Kwame Brown and Smush Parker starting. But there was also the Kobe vs Bell match up which for the most part stayed relatively quiet. There was tension between the two teams. There was the fake elbow, and then in Game 5 in a blowout for the Suns, there was the clothesline. Kobe got up from it like it was nothing and proceeded to smile it off, wagging his finger as to say that didn’t mean anything. After the game this is what Kobe said. "Does he know me? Do I know this guy? I don't know this guy, I might have said one word to this guy. I don't know this kid. I think he overreacts to stuff.. I don't know this kid. I don't need to know this kid. I don't want to. We go out there, we play the game and leave it at that. Maybe he wasn't hugged enough as a kid. I look at him a little bit, he gets a little insecure or something. I don't know." It was stuff like that which was the real reason why Raja Bell had a problem with Kobe, not the elbows, it was the disrespect. This is what Bell said "My problem with Kobe isn't that he doesn't respect me, I felt he was disrespecting me, and that he didn't care that he was doing it. I don't need respect, but you're not going to disrespect me.And after denying claims that he’s a dirty player he said, “I definitely took a shot at Kobe. You bet. So people have a reason to call me dirty now. And that's fine with me." He also called Kobe a pompous, arrogant individual. Raja Bell recently came out saying that “There wasn’t a greater competitor” and that he relished every chance to play against Kobe. That’s what made Kobe Bryant special. Even his opponents couldn’t help but respect who he was and what he stood for. Kobe was that man and he wasn’t backing down from anyone. But what do you think? Rank the best trash talkers of all time. Who was the toughest player to guard in NBA history?

#EvanBattey #NextOnes Evan Battey had a challenge down low on both sides of the court especially on offense because in order to get the ball to Battey, Colorado had to penetrate USC’s zone. The Trojans zone was similar to UCLA’s but USC was double-teaming forwards if the ball was in their hands. On Thursday, the Buffs broke the Bruins’ zone with shooting and they caught fire. However, the Buffaloes’ shooting was subpar on Saturday and the only way to break the zone was to penetrate it and make the offense work inside the paint. Battey would be that worker going against USC’s senior forward Bennie Boatwright and junior forward Nick Rakocevic. “We wanted to go after them and get them into foul trouble because without them they are a different team,” Boyle said. With the ball in his hands Battey led the Buffs in scoring in the first half with 12 points, and ended the game with a season-high of 21. Those points came from either posting up and grinding against USC’s two big men or from simple jumpers a few feet away. A forward’s effort often goes unnoticed but in a game that was as physical as this one, Battey got the crowd on its feet when the game seemed out of reach. For example, in the final seconds of the first half Battey got the ball low and went to work. His patience on the block paid off as he scored the final basket of the half and got the Buffs’ deficit to within seven. On defense, his performance initially was cleaner than it has been in the past. Battey picked up a foul quickly in the first half but he only picked up one to start. He had the presence of mind to move his feet and not bring down his hands as USC was shooting which typically contributes to Battey’s fouls during a game. Battey played physical but he was smart about it on defense because the Buffs needed his size. “I was just trying to make it as has hard for him to catch as possible,” Battey said. [I tried to] really bother him and be a constant nag when [Rakocevic] has the ball and when he doesn’t have the ball,” he said. He boxed out some of USC’s tallest to either get over the back fouls or a Buffs’ fast break would begin. Battey brought the physicality on defense because early on USC was winning the physical aspect of the game. But Battey could not be perfect forever. He picked up two more fouls in the second half and had to sit for awhile because Boyle and the Buffs would need him later. “He is a hard guy to officiate because he is so big,” Boyle said. #EvanBatey #NextOnes * * Pac 12 * Subscribe to Next Ones for daily content - You’ll be the first to know about up and coming players before anyone else - http://bit.ly/2u3LHiP Follow Next Ones on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram Twitter - http://bit.ly/2z8Qpli Facebook - http://bit.ly/2lU0Kbr Instagram- http://bit.ly/2KwB3wf Business email: info@nextones.com I DO NOT own clips or videos that i post of sports Highlights.
