Sul +14 e timeout Udoka lascia Pritchard in campo e da il via alla rimonta dei Bucks che riaccende i vecchi fantasmi. Il finale 11-2 per loro è un museo degli orrori…. Inizio in salita per i Cs che vanno subito sotto 2-9 con 3 triple dei Bucks. I Biancoverdi stentano un po’ al tiro ma riequilibriamo la gara mettendo il muso avanti una prima volta sul 14-13. Il primo quarto però viene passato quasi interamente ad inseguire e si chiude 26-28 con Boston che non sfrutta parecchie occasioni dalla distanza. Un super White ci regala il primo vantaggio deciso della partita ad inizio secondo quarto 37-32. Boston alza i giri in difesa e trova il modo di far produrre Theis in attacco e grazie ad una sua tripla inizia un super parziale che da il primo vantaggio in doppia cifra sul 51-38 con Tatum che imperversa in contropiede. I continui tentennamenti dalla distanza però non permettono la fuga e la reazione di Giannis produce il 54-47 di fine primo tempo. L’inizio del del terzo quarto è come sempre soporifero per i Cs che si addormentano ai rimbalzi e in difesa facendo arrivare i Bucks al -1. Ci pensa prima Smart e poi Brown con 16 punti a riaccendere il TD e riportare il vantaggio sino al +12 per poi chiudere sul 86-77 dopo la prima tripla del Greco che non ne vuole sapere di arrendersi. Sulle ali dell’entusiasmo ad inizio 4/4 Boston riprova la fuga toccando il +14 (93-79) dopo appena 2 minuti. Connaughton mette però 2 triple in tutta solitudine e rida ritmo e fiducia a una squadra che sembrava morta, il 98-90 a 7 dalla fine lascia ancora tutto aperto pericolosamente. Liberi sbagliati turnovers e un 4-4 di Millwaukee portano la partita su binari pericolosi e a poco meno di 5 minuti Boston conduce solo 101-95. Gli ultimi minuti sono purtroppo un museo degli orrori che si paventano quando prima Antetokounmpo poi Holiday la mettono da 3. Sul viaggio successivo Tatum mette i liberi ma a 14 secondi dalla fine Giannis va in lunetta e sul 1-2 i Cs pasticciano e lasciano a Portis la palla del +1.
