Rocket fans weren't expecting their 1st place team to get eliminated in the North Division Semifinals, but that's exactly what happened, as the Toronto Marlies won the series 3 games to 2.
Toronto Marlies beat the Laval Rocket 3-2 and win the North Division Semifinals 3 games to 2 5/9/26
It was a big upset, as the 1st place Rocket lost their 1st round playoff series (technically, it was the 2nd round of the playoffs, as the Rocket had a bye while Toronto played Rochester) to the 4th place Marlies. The visitors won the game, 3-2, and won the series 3 games to 2. Toronto now goes on to face the Cleveland Monsters in the North Division Finals.
