Monaco finished the EuroLeague regular season in style, securing itself at least two more games by leading from start to finish and routing visiting Hapoel 105-85 on Friday night. The win means Monaco will finish the regular season in seventh or eighth place with a 22-16 record. Meanwhile, Hapoel dropped to 23-15 and lost its chance to hold home-court advantage in the playoffs. It finished sixth and will face either Real Madrid or Valencia Basket in the best-of-five playoffs. Monaco took control right away behind Mike James, Alpha Diallo and Jaron Blossomgame. It led 25-11 late in the first quarter, was up by as many as 19 in the second, then opened the third quarter with a 14-2 run to blow the game wide open. Blossomgame scored 18 of his career-high 30 points in the second half, while James was everywhere with 20 points and 7 assists. Matthew Strazel had 11 points and 9 assists, and Diallo and Daniel Theis scored 11 apiece. Chris Jones paced Hapoel with 17 points and a career-best 10 assists, while Dan Oturu had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
