Žurilo se crveno-belima u finale Kupa Srbije, na novi večiti derbi sa Partizanom, pa je tim iz plej-auta superligaške tabele, uprkos tome što u tom doigravanju ima četiri pobede i remi, na stadionu Rajko Mitić još jednom ove sezone ubedljivo poražen. Posle 4:0 i 5:0, Crvena zvezda je u trećem okršaju sa Novim Pazarom ove sezone slavila 8:0 (5:0). Čak pet lopti u mreži plavo-belih završilo je do 23. minuta meča. Bila je to verovatno najbrža "petarda" u istoriji kluba iz Ljutice Bogdana, a svakako najubedljivija pobeda crveno-belih u ovoj takmičarskoj godini. Prethodno je to bilo 7:1 protiv Kolubare u Lazarevcu. Goleada je počela pogotkom El Fardua Bena u 6. minutu na asistenciju Milana Pavkova. Potom je Ohi Omoidžuanfo u 12. realizovao penal koji je sam iznudio nakon što mu je šut glavom Vahid Zimonjić blokirao rukom. Na 3:0 povisio je Milan Pavkov sjanim udarcem sa 18-19 metara u 15 minutu. Svoj drugi gol u meču Ohi je postigao u 20. minutu iskoristivši lošu komunikaciju Zimonjića i golmana Vujanca, ali tu nije bio kraj agonije gostiju iz Raške. Samo tri minuta kasnije i Mirko Ivanić je , poput Pavkova, demonstirao odličan šut, da bi u 58. minutu mladi Nikola Stanković s bele tačke upisao svoj prvenac u seniorskom timu Crvene zvezde. Omogućio mu je to Kristijano Pičini koji je fauliran prilikom centaršuta. U 81. Stanković je stavio tačku svojim drugim golom. Najavio je Dejan Stanković da u ovoj utakmici neće rizikovati sa umornim fudbalerima, a odnosilo se to na Aleksandra Katija, Sekua Sanoga, Strahinju Erakovića i Milana Gajića. Njihovo odsustvo iz tima, pre svega Kataija i Sanoga, uticalo je na promenu formacije, pa su crveno-beli protiv Novog Pazara igrali u postavci 4-1-3-2. Prijalo je to i Pavkovu i Ohiju, koji su posle nekoliko mečeva bez golova po drugi put uzastopno bili precizni. Norvežanin je, čak, kao protiv Radničkog iz Niša u subotu, bio dvostruki strelac, Da se Novom Pazaru sprema debakl moglo se naslutiti posle svega dva minuta igre. Prvo Dragović, a onda i Pavkov zapretili su šutevima glavom, obojica na centaršut Kange, ali su bili blokirani. Upravo je silovito otvaranje utakmice ono što Stanković traži od svojih fudbalera. Ovo je treći put uzastopno da su crveno-beli poveli golom u prvih deset minuta, a o odnosu prema dresu koji nose i načinu na koji očekuje da njegov tim igra nekadašnji kapiten je pričao posle meča sa Nišlijama. Uprkos pobedi 4:1 Stanković je ukorio igrače koji su dobili šansu u drugom poluvremenu jer nisu odigrali dovoljno energično. Pisali smo da se odnosilo to na, pre svega, Krstičića i Falka, ali i mladog Petra Stanića koji, ipak, ima alibi zbog dugog odsustva s terena zbog povrede. Prva dvojica ove srede nisu dobili novu šansu, dok Stanić jeste i iskoristio ju je za svoj prvi takmičarski gol u dresu Crvene zvezde. Teško da će ovaj put Stanković imati šta da zameri bilo kome iz svog tima.
