Kody Clemens had three hits and Kendry Rojas earned his first major league win with a strong outing in relief as the Minnesota Twins held off the Cleveland Guardians 5-4 on Sunday. Brooks Lee hit a tiebreaking single in a four-run fifth inning for the Twins, who took two of three in the series from their AL Central rivals. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt was sent home hours before the first pitch due to lingering respiratory issues. Tony Arnerich filled in as acting manager. Making his second career appearance, Rojas (1-0) struck out five and walked three over 3 1/3 innings. He allowed one run and five hits. The 23-year-old left-hander from Cuba entered to begin the second inning after opener Andrew Morris worked a 1-2-3 first. Yoendrys Gómez pitched a perfect ninth for his third big league save and second this season. Brayan Rocchio went 4 for 4 and scored twice for Cleveland, setting a career high for hits. Gavin Williams (5-3) gave up five runs and 10 hits in six innings. Everyone is over-glorifying Amad Diallo, treating him like the ultimate star boy under Michael Carrick, but the reality is shocking when you compare him to massive flops like Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Memphis Depay. Amad Diallo has played over 2,000 minutes in the Premier League this season and has only registered 2 goals and 2 assists. That means he is getting a goal contribution roughly every 500 minutes. If we look back at Antony's worst stretches, or Jadon Sancho's 2022/23 season before he was exiled, they actually produced double the goals in fewer minutes. We ran Memphis Depay out of Old Trafford for scoring 2 goals, yet we are giving Amad a free pass because of his "link-up play" and "vibes." As we head into the massive fixture against Liverpool to secure Champions League football after that disastrous 0-0 draw against Sunderland, Manchester United cannot afford to carry passengers. The INEOS rebuild demands ruthlessness, yet we are relying on an average winger who isn't producing the numbers required for a top-level Premier League side. Why is the Manchester United fanbase so protective of Amad? If any other rival team had a winger with 2 goals in 2,000 minutes, we would be laughing at them. It's time to wake up.
