Glenda Morejón volvió hacer historia en un mundial de marcha , esta vez lo hizo en el lejano Oman en la península arábiga. Glenda triunfo en la nueva modalidad de 35km de marcha atlética en Muscat con un tiempo de 2:48.33 Esta fue su primera carrera en esta prueba y la primera medalla de oro en categoría senior a nivel mundial. Las buenas noticias no pararon allí en el campeonato mundial en la modalidad por equipos Ecuador se quedó con el primer lugar.

In Sep 2020, my wife Tori and I traveled to Québec’s Gaspé region In search of adventure. After poling the Bonaventure River and fly casting for Atlantic Salmon, we headed to Forillion National Park where we picked up the Appalachian Trail. Our plan was to follow it through the mountains to the Land’s End which is the very tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. This was a multi-day backpacking trek, a thorough hike to cross the National Park. Land's End is also the very end, (or the very beginning) of the International Appalachian Trail which starts in the state of Georgia. Moose, Black Bear, Seals, and Whales are all common sightings from the trail which also provides a multitude of oceanic views. After three days with precious few free kilometres, the transition stage from Saronsberg, in Tulbagh, to the Slanghoek valley appears, on paper, to be an easier day. Especially as the racing ends at the Goudini Spa and teams will transfer over the Limietberg Mountains, rather than having to ride over them. There is, however, a sting in the tail of the stage. The early kilometres may tick past with unnerving ease, but once the surface begins to roughen the challenges come thick and fast. Brutally uneven dual tracks through a private game reserve provide a sudden shock. Crossing the Breede River the challenging riding recommences with a steep but short climb into the Slanghoek Mountains. Rocky singletracks undulate along the length of the range; punishing the legs before the the infamous Thudbuster climb drive heart rates in the red. From there it is into the Land Rover Technical Terrain, the Slanghoek trails climb. From the top, it’s into Slanghoek cross-country course followed swiftly by the most technical of the mountain’s trails, covering the final kilometres to the remote finish at the Goudini Spa.
