April 30, 2026: If there’s one truth to the chaos of college athletics its that it can always become more chaotic. That seems to be the case now as the NCAA is on the verge of granting 5 years of eligibility to all athletes. Unfortunately for MSU and its situation at the 5 spot - it looks like the NCAA will not make the rule retroactive meaning that Carson Cooper would not be eligible for another season. We also discuss the situation with Divine Ugochukwu, Duke’s deal with Amazon Prime, and a recap of the seasons of the #14-10 teams in the Big Ten. That includes Rutgers, USC, Washington, Minnesota, and Indiana. Are you looking for collegiate apparel including Spartan gear? There’s only one place we recommend you go to get your MSU T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts — Nudge Printing (https://www.nudgeprinting.com) Nudge is owned and operated by Gabe and Brittany, two MSU alums. The business is operated out of Michigan and screen prints super high quality products. They also have a large assortment of apparel for other schools as well as stickers for your wall, car, or computer. To enter the free drawing go to (https://nudgeprinting.com/win). If you have a home in Michigan you know the importance of clearing water efficiently away from your home off the roof. Unfortunately, the outdoor beauty of Michigan means you have to deal with leaves and debris that pile up in your gutters. Sometimes, those gutters also can’t keep up with the rain or leave puddles by your foundation. If you live in the Grand Rapids area (Muskegon to Saugatuck to Rockford to Lowell) contact Kurt Stauffer at the Brothers that Just Do Gutters. (https://www.brothersgutters.com/grand-rapids-mi/). If you’re anywhere in the metro Detroit area the Brothers have you covered too! (https://www.brothersgutters.com/metro-detroit-mi/). It may still be early in the Major League Baseball season, but for two teams, to borrow a phrase from Yogi Berra, it got late early as the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies fired their respective managers. Managers may not be the ones putting the rosters together (that falls to the head of baseball operations) but when those players don't perform, it's more often than not the managers who take the blame. Mets fans, frustrated by their own team's won-loss record, might have been hoping to see recently fired Alex Cora be hired by the team. Â Two things happened. The Phillies called Cora first, and Alex turned them down basically saying he wants to spend time with his kids on the beach in Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, Anthony Volpe is expected to come off the injured list and subsequent minor league rehab assignment, but there's more to his return to the team than meets the eye. Alex Cora declined offer to manage Phillies before job given to Don Mattingly - The Athletic https://ift.tt/yvEPIwB Alex Cora declined a managerial offer from the Philadelphia Phillies following his dismissal from the Boston Red Sox. Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski confirmed the offer and subsequent appointment of Don Mattingly as interim manager after firing Rob Thomson. Cora opted to prioritize spending time with his family in Puerto Rico, including his fiancée and twin sons, and prepare for a November wedding. Dombrowski praised Cora’s managerial abilities, comparing him to Hall of Fame managers. While discussions occurred, a formal agreement was never reached as Cora determined the timing was not right. Mattingly’s appointment is not expected to be a long-term solution, and Cora is anticipated to be a sought-after candidate for other managerial openings at the end of the season. The Phillies’ decision to pursue Cora came amid a disappointing 9-19 start to the season despite a high payroll.
