De infarto: se definió el sorteo para el repechaje del Mundial de Qatar 2022 Se realizó el sorteo del repechaje a Qatar 2022 de los partidos de emparejamiento de las zonas de Sudamérica, Centroamérica, Concacaf y Europa. Te mostramos todos los detalles. Todo está definido. Se sortearon los cruces del repechaje para los países que aspiran a clasificarse al Mundial de Qatar 2022. En Europa, el azar determinó que Italia y Portugal queden en la misma llave, por lo que al menos uno de los dos seleccionados quedará en el camino rumbo a la Copa del Mundo. Vale mencionar que a los portugueses les alcanzaba un empate en la última jornada para sellar su boleto directo a la cita mundialista, pero Serbia dio el golpe en Lisboa de forma agónica y dejó en duda su presencia en Qatar. Por su parte, la ‘Azzurra’ no pudo con Irlanda del Norte en condición de visitante en la fecha final y dejó el primer lugar de su zona en manos de Suiza, ya adentro de la Copa. Hay que recordar que en esta edición se modificó el sistema de ingreso al Mundial: ya no habrá un duelo mano a mano a ida y vuelta entre los seleccionados, sino que los mismos deberán afrontar dos instancias. Italia chocará en primer término con Macedonia del Norte, que acabó segundo en el Grupo J detrás de Alemania. Y Portugal se las verá con Turquía, escolta de Países Bajos en el Grupo G. Los dos que avancen a la siguiente fase, se medirán para definir al clasificado a la Copa del Mundo. Lo mismo sucederá con las otras rutas de acceso, en las que fueron sorteados los segundos de cada zona (Suecia, Ucrania, Gales, Escocia, Rusia y Polonia) más los dos mejores de los grupos en el ranking general de la Liga de Naciones (Austria y República Checa). Los primeros cruces (a partido único) se disputarán el 24 de marzo, mientras que el 29 de marzo quedarán definidos los tres clasificados al Mundial de Qatar 2022.
