Pakistan too had success through the leg spinner as Abrar Ahmed bagged seven wickets too. Ish Sodhi, who last played a Test in November 2018, should enjoy his return. Team News : Pakistan The 27-year-old Kamran Ghulam should get his debut following Azhar Ali's retirement. The returning Hasan Ali should come in for Faheem Ashraf, who lost his spot in the side following ordinary outings against England. Naseem Shah should be back for the start of the series in place of Mohammad Wasim Jr, who made his debut in Pakistan's previous Test with middling results. Probable XI: Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood, Kamran Ghulam, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Agha Salman, Hasan Ali, Nauman Ali, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed New Zealand Sodhi is likely to get picked as the second spinner alongside Michael Bracewell to exploit the favourable conditions in Karachi. New Zealand might also have the temptation of throwing in Ajaz Patel as the third spin option but that might come at the cost of team balance. Probable XI:Tom Latham, Will Young, Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Henry Nicholls, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner

PAK vs NZ: Babar, few other players suffer flu

Sarfaraz ahmed captaincy in the Karachi Test KARACHI: Pakistan captain Babar Azam, alongside Shan Masood and Agha Salman, are suffering from a viral flu during the ongoing first Test against New Zealand in Karachi.  When day three began, Babar, Agha and Shan didn’t come out on the field. Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Ahmed was given the responsibility of leading the side.  It must be noted that Agha had already confirmed his illness the other day during press conference after scoring his maiden Test hundred. Shan returned to the field after a while whereas Babar and Agha were replaced by Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam, respectively. New Zealand opened day 2 at 165 for naught. Openers Tom Latham and David Conway added just 18 runs before Nauman Ali trapped Conway in LBW. When this story was filed, New Zealand were 187-1.
