Oral Roberts vs. North Dakota State Game Recap: Summit League Men's Semifinals | 3/9/20
North Dakota State defeats Oral Roberts 75-69 in a Summit league men's semifinal on Midco Sports Network. Oral Roberts’ Kevin Obanor was efficient with 10 of 16 from the floor, 10 boards, 27 points. He pulled eight double-doubles in this season, a lot of those that came late in the year. There’s not a team in the league he wouldn’t be one of the leading options for, he’s so good and talented, and hopefully he can continue to elevate his level of play. North Dakota State’s Rocky Kreuser his one-on-one post defense was exceptional, and led to some frustration for ORU’s Emmanuel Nzekwesi. Kreuser got eight points and eight rebounds. North Dakota State vs. Denver Game Recap: Summit League Women's Quarterfinal | 3/8/20
North Dakota State defeats Denver 72-67 in a Summit League women's quarterfinal on Midco Sports Network. Denver’s Madison Nelson was wild out there, as North Dakota State continued to throw different bodies at her. She still made 29 shots, a summit league record, sinking 14 of them and played 38 minutes on the night, only coming out for a bit of foul trouble. North Dakota State’s Ryan Cobbins was confident from both behind the arc and in the paint with nice catch, control and execution on the floor. Emily Dietz was limited by foul trouble, but was big late in the game scoring 8 points in 16 minutes. North Dakota State needed her ability to score inside, especially with players on the bench from foul trouble. When the Bison’s Dietz was the go-to person they had their smaller lineup on the floor, but had great execution. North Dakota State vs. Denver Game Recap: Summit League Men's Quarterfinal | 3/7/20
North Dakota State defeats Denver 71-69 in a Summit League men's quarterfinal on Midco Sports Network. This game went back and forth as North Dakota State held a 10 point lead for a while until Denver started rattling things of with a 20 to 6 run. Denver’s Robert Jones was all over the floor tonight shooting 10 of 12, 21 points and seven boards. Jones has grown up over the course of his freshman season, kept himself out of foul trouble in this game and makes a huge impact on both ends of the floor. Jase Townsend has played 40 over his last five regular season games and he was huge tonight and kept his team in the game until the end. NDSU’s Tyson Ward was a workhorse, and though it wasn’t his best shooting night, he scored late in the foul to get NDSU to lead. That shot was a big bucket off the kick-out by Vinnie Shahid who didn’t turn it over after getting doubled when his team had no time out. He pulled his signature move twice with step back three-pointers, sinking both shots with the game on the line. North Dakota survives a great effort by Denver.
