Thatcham Town FC vs North Leigh FC | FA Trophy Highlights
Our first FA Trophy match this season saw us face Southern League Division 1 Central side North Leigh FC. The Oxfordshire based side previously beat Melksham Town on penalties to reach the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, whereas the Kingfishers were handed a bye in the First Qualifying Round. There would also be a few familiar faces returning to Waterside Park, as North Leigh started the game with Harry Grant and Jon Mills. Harry was one of our FA Vase heroes who also won the Hellenic League to get promotion back to the Southern League. Jon was one of last season's players who were gunning for promotion, and made an instant impact on his debut by scoring within the first minute against Basingstoke Town.
