Riesenwirbel beim Formel 1-Debüt in Katar! Erst weisen die Stewards die neuen Beweise von Mercedes ab, dann droht Red Bull mit einem eigenen Protest gegen die Silberpfeile! Aber von vorne: Mercedes machte von seinem Right of Review Gebrauch und legte neue Beweise für den Zwischenfall zwischen Lewis Hamilton und Max Verstappen in Brasilien vor. Die Stewards sagten jedoch: Nix da! Das reicht uns nicht aus. Red Bull Teamchef Christian Horner zündelte derweil in der gemeinsamen FIA Pressekonferenz mit Toto Wolff weiter und drohte: Wenn wir wieder Schleifspuren am Mercedes-Heckflügel entdecken, legen wir Protest ein! De FIA heeft nog geen besluit genomen over het verzoek van Mercedes, maar voor Max Verstappen en Lewis Hamilton was er geen ontkomen aan allerlei vragen over hét incident in bocht 4. Formel 1 rätselt über Mercedes-Lenkung! Was steckt dahinter?
Das Formel 1 Debüt in Katar steht ganz im Zeichen von Gerüchten und Verhandlungen! Während die FIA Stewards über den Antrag zur Neubeurteilung von Mercedes im Fall Hamilton vs. Verstappen beraten, gibt es Spekulationen um die Lenkung des Silberpfeils! Aber der Reihe nach: Viereinhalb Stunden berieten die Formel 1 Rennkommissare am Donnerstag vor dem Katar GP über die neuen Beweise, die Mercedes beim Right of Review vorlegte. Die große Frage bleibt weiterhin: Reicht das aus, um Max Verstappen für die Aktion aus Brasilien nachträglich zu bestrafen? Oder wird der Fall überhaupt erst gar nicht weiterverfolgt? Die Fahrer waren zwiegespalten, Verstappen selbst würde nichts anders machen und Hamilton scheint seine Meinung geändert zu haben, will aber nicht so wirklich verraten in welche Richtung! Zudem sorgte Hamilton mit seiner Aussage, in Sao Paulo sei seine Lenkstange getauscht worden, für einige Fragezeichen. Was war da los? Und: Gibt es da einen Zusammenhang mit der Verstellung der Hinterradaufhängung? Kann Mercedes die Lenkung bewegen wie bei DAS? Oder sind das alles nur Hirngespinste im brodelnden Titelkampf?
