Fußball im Nationalsozialismus
Fußball bringt Menschen zusammen, heißt es. Doch die Gesellschaft zu einen, ist nicht das Ziel der Nationalsozialisten. Im NS-Regime werden Juden, Oppositionelle und andere Minderheiten gezielt ausgegrenzt und verfolgt. Als die Nazis im Frühjahr 1933 an die Macht kommen, hat das auch Auswirkungen auf den Fußball: Im Zuge der Gleichschaltung räumen Hitler und seine Anhänger alle Strukturen aus dem Weg, die ihnen nicht passen. Den deutschen Fußball nutzen sie für ihre Propaganda. Aber viele Vereine handeln auch in vorauseilendem Gehorsam: Bereits im April 1933 erklären sich mehrere Vereine „freudig und entschieden“ zur Hilfe bei der „Entfernung der Juden aus den Sportvereinen“ bereit. Hunderte Mitglieder dürfen aufgrund ihrer Religion oder Abstammung nun nicht mehr Fußball spielen, Funktionäre wie der Vereinsvorstand des FC Bayern München, Kurt Landauer, müssen ihre Ämter aufgeben. Jüdische Sportler werden deportiert und ermordet. Nennenswerten Widerstand scheint es innerhalb der Vereine oder des DFB, dem Deutschen Fußballbund, kaum zu geben. Fußballstadien werden zu Plätzen der nationalsozialistischen Ideologie: Überall hängen Hakenkreuzflaggen, die Teams machen vor dem Anpfiff den Hitlergruß. Selbst während des Krieges läuft der Sportbetrieb lange fast unverändert weiter. Kurt-Lee Arendse HORRIFIC Aerial Challenge On Beauden Barrett | South Africa vs All Blacks 2022
This was another horrible incident in the game just like the Faf de Klerk head injury, this one was worse because it was just a stupid challenge by Kurt-Lee Arendse that could've resulted in serious injury to Beauden Barrett. I have no idea what he was thinking as he had absolutely no chance to get the ball. I know Kurt-Lee Arendse is not a dirty player, but he needs to be suspended for multiple weeks for this. Stuff like this is what red cards are for, not accidental head clashes. I also have to give props to the ref and tmo for handling this perfectly. It was quick and decisive, they did not need to see 10 minutes of replays to come to the conclusion that this was a red card. They deal with it instantly. But more importantly, it seems that both players seemed to be okay after going off the field. This could've easily been a lot worse for both players. Let's hope they make a fast and healthy recovery.
