Gor moves to eighth position after beating Western Stima

Defending champions Gor Mahia have moved up to 8th position on the Kenya Premier League table after beating Western Stima 3-1 in one of the two matches played today. Gor Mahia, looking for a third win of the season, opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Samuel Onyango, but Stima were back on level terms just before the break. Two second half goals from Tito Okello sealed the win for Kogalo, who are 9 points behind leaders KCB but with two games in hand. Mathare United recorded their first win of the season thanks to a 2-0 win over Zoo Kericho in the other encounter played today. Daniel Otieno and John Mwangi were the two goal-scorers for Mathare in the opening 12 minutes of the game.
