Known as the "Purple Sharks," Wakiso Giants has become a symbol of modern football branding in Uganda while inspiring young players across the country. The club's journey began in 2009 as Artland Katale before undergoing several ownership and identity changes. In 2018, a group of businessmen led by Musa Ssebulime acquired the club, relocated it to Wakiso District, and rebranded it as Wakiso Giants Football Club.
