This will be the first bilateral ODI series between the two teams after 2015. Injury has struck both teams on the eve of the series. While Bangladesh will miss Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed India will be devoid of Mohammed Shami who has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury. However both these teams are blessed with incredible bench strength which is why we expect a cracking series to be on the cards. Bangladesh have been ordinary in white-ball cricket of late. Despite being a good team the Tigers were handed a two-one drubbing by Zimbabwe in their last ODI series. Furthermore they blew hot and cold in the T20 World Cup failing to qualify for the knockouts. So moving on to this series they will aim at a resurgence capitalising on the home advantage under the leadership of Litton Das. On the other hand India will treat this series as a dress rehearsal for the ODI World Cup scheduled next year. They are yet to find their best possible combination. With Shami ruled out this series will be a golden opportunity for Kuldeep Sen and Umran Malik to make a strong case for their inclusion in India's first-choice ODI XI. At the same time the focus will be on India's decorated top three comprising Rohit Sharma Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli who will play together in an ODI series after more than five months. Considering the squads of both teams we reckon India will start as the firm favourites to win this match. However Bangladesh have surprised the Men in Blue in the past and it won't be an upset if they emerge victorious in this game. What to expect: There is a high possibility that the series is likely to witness high-scoring games with the wickets expected to favour the batters. Clear skies with a high of 30 degree Celsius is forecast for the match day. Bangladesh Team News: Litton Das has been handed the responsibility of leadership after Tamim was ruled out of the series due to a groin injury. With Taskin also not available for the first ODI due to a back issue Ebadot Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman will have to handle the bulk of the responsibilities in the pace department. India Team News: With Mohammed Shami ruled out of the series due to a shoulder injury Umran Malik has been roped into the squad but he may not get a game straightaway with India likely to go in Siraj Thakur and Chahar in their pace department. Axar Patel was hit near his chest while batting in the nets on Saturday and was being monitored by the medical team. But he is likely to be available for selection. Pitch Report: The average first innings score in the last five ODI matches at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka is 212 runs and the team batting first have won three matches. Spinners are likely to dominate in this game. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. LAKERS ANNOUNCES STATUS OF LEBRON JAMES #lakers After hobbling off the court and many having flashbacks to his groin injury in the 2018-19 season, LeBron is listed as a daily follow-up by the team's medical department with an adductor muscle injury, as Darvin Ham revealed after practice. from Thursday. However, the player rarely enters the court against the Kings. It is not yet known when LeBron will be able to return, but it is good news to know that the player does not have a serious injury. Following, the Lakers have a schedule where the team will face the Kings this Friday, before playing the Nets two days later, with both games at home. The team will then have a full week off without a game again until Friday, November 18, when they host Detroit. It's a very beneficial calendar for the Lakers given the current situation. After the team plays the Pistons, the Lakers will face San Antonio on Sunday before starting a three-game road trip. At the end of the day, LeBron should only miss a few games, despite being able to be sidelined for more than a week. In recent seasons, LeBron has had several muscle injuries. Last year, an abdominal injury ruled him out for several games, which was effectively ruined by a groin injury. Because of this and a myriad of other obvious reasons, the Lakers really need LeBron back ASAP in the coming days and weeks.

Preview With less than two months to go for the T20 World Cup, it should be no surprise that even a 50-over series now comes loaded with T20 undertones. The biggest of them all, for India, is the return of KL Rahul. Thursday's match will be Rahul's first in competitive cricket since the IPL eliminator in May, following surgery and rehabilitation for his groin injury, as well as being laid low by Covid-19. Ample game time across the three fixtures at a venue where he scored his maiden ODI century in 2016 should be on the agenda for the India captain. Another player who could do with game time is Deepak Chahar, who is coming back from an even longer injury layoff and is in a race against time to convince the Indian think-tank to keep him in their plans for the T20 World Cup. Opportunities to prove his match-sharpness in 10-over spells over the next five days could pave the way for that. He's already made it as part of the reserves for the Asia Cup, where India have picked just three quicks in the main squad (Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan). Zimbabwe too could have one eye on the T20 World Cup, harbouring hopes of advancing to the Super 12s there. They'll also perhaps, look forward to testing themselves in the 50-over format against stronger opponents than their previous ones. The series win over Bangladesh should give them all the morale boost they need heading into this series, but are in need of a big improvement from the top-order to end their long run of defeats to India at the venue. In both their wins against Bangladesh this month, they needed the middle-order - specifically Sikandar Raza and Regis Chakabva - to bail them out of sticky situations (62 for 3 and 49 for 4). A third top-order collapse led to a big defeat. Though the gulf in quality of the two sides is vast, a quick remedy to Zimbabwe's early batting ailments will go a long way in making them competitive against a side like India. When: August 18, 9:15 AM Local Time, 12:45 PM IST Where: Zimbabwe vs India, 1st ODI, Harare Sports Club What to expect: Harare is typically a batter's ally, as seen in the recent ODIs against Bangladesh too. Shikhar Dhawan too alluded to that fact, reckoning that the players will be served with 'great batting wickets'. Team News: India: Shubman Gill comes into this series with an impressive showing against West Indies last month and should hold onto his opening spot, which means the returning KL Rahul could slot in at #3 or #4. Deepak Chahar is fit again and should get game time this series, but it remains to be seen if he's thrust in straightaway. Zimbabwe: The hosts are likely to give the same top-order that played and beat Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI 10 days ago, another opportunity to impress and share the load of performance with Raza and Chakabva. Did You Know: - Sikandar Raza has scored two half-centuries and two hundreds in 9 ODI innings this year. He was the leading run-getter (252 runs) and the leading wicket-taker (5 wickets) in the ODI series against Bangladesh earlier his month - India have won 9 consecutive ODIs at this venue, dating all the way back to July 2013 What They Said: "It's very good news that KL is back in the side. He's one of the main players of the Indian team and with the Asia Cup coming up, it's going to be a good outing for him. I'm sure he'll gain a lot from this tour." - Shikhar Dhawan "I think India is a huge challenge not only for Zimbabwe but for any other team. They are playing good cricket. Missing a few guys I guess from their regular team when they are coming out here. I think there is an opportunity there but we're not too worried about India to be honest. We are worried about ourselves and our processes and us doing our things right. On a given day we can be a handful for the Indian team." - Lance Klusener in an interview with .
