PORTUGAL BETRAYED THEIR GREATEST EVER PLAYER 💔

Cristiano Ronaldo has left Portugal's training camp. TODAY. This is what happened. Jorge Jesus confirmed in a press conference that Ronaldo would not start against Denmark on Thursday — and might not even come on. Ronaldo didn't train with his teammates after that. He then posted on Instagram in Portuguese — "After the press conference of the national team, and following a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have made the decision to leave the national team training camp." And then — the line that stops everything. "In time, I will tell the Portuguese people the truth about the reasons." 234 caps. 146 goals. The most capped player and highest scorer in the history of men's international football. He started Portugal's 1-0 win over Wales — substituted in the 67th minute. Then against Norway he wasn't even brought on. Jorge Jesus said he had a plan for him from the bench. He never used it. Ronaldo is 41 years old. He needs 854 career goals to reach 1,000. He is still chasing history. And he just walked out of his national team camp because his manager didn't trust him enough to play him. Is this the end of Ronaldo and Portugal? He says he will tell the truth one day. That sentence alone means there is a story nobody is being told right now. Portugal play Denmark tomorrow. Without their greatest ever player. 💬 Was Ronaldo right to leave?
