La Flèche Wallonne is the second in the trio of races known as the Ardennes Classics. At 193.9km, it's not the longest race but its finale is one of the toughest in pro cycling. The Mur de Huy (1.3km at 10%) provides a brutal ending to this spring classic, with ramps of up to 26% in the final kilometre! Stage 3 is another day in the hills, 153.7km in length and featuring a tricky circuit around Amasa-Villabona where most of the action will be concentrated. There are no categorised climbs in the last 20km, but there are four short, sharp hills, the last of which rises up towards the line at a gradient of 9.2% for 1.2km. The longest stage of this year's Itzulia is also one of the toughest, with 3,231m of total climbing - most of which is crammed into the second half of the stage. The climbs are relatively short but the descents that follow them are long, fast and flowy. This is a great stage for those daredevils who like dive-bombing down descents.
