Patrick Cantlay returns to defend his back-to-back BMW Championship wins after last week’s playoff defeat to Lucas Glover. This was one of seven top-four finishes this season as he looks to make it a three-peat at this event. Rory McIlroy played well for his T-3 finish in Memphis last week. Viktor Hovland wins in playoff | Round 4 | the Memorial | 2023
In the final round of the 2023 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, Viktor Hovland grinded for a 2-under 70 to finish at 7-under for the tournament before defeating Denny McCarthy in a one-hole playoff to claim his fourth win of his PGA TOUR career. Billy Horschel returns this week to defend his title from 2022. His four-stroke victory marked his seventh PGA TOUR win last time out. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler also heads to Muirfield Village after finishing tied for third in last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge.
