RAÚL EDUARDO GONZÁLEZ GUZMÁN COME AND KNOW ME BETTER was born in the city of Valencia, Venezuela, on June 28, 1985. At the age of 4 he did his first steps as football player in the School of Football Valencia, just a short time later he became part of the Venezuela and Italia Community Center of Valencia (CSIV), in which one he formed as footballer and played until year 2002 when he started his career as professional footballer.He represented his state, Carabobo, in the National Championships of Football in all the categories, being several times leading goal scorer of his team. From very young he participated with the CSIV in international competitions as the Gothia Cup of Sweden and Dana Cup of Denmark. He attended clinics and courses with a couple of teams in Italy and Argentina. Between 2000 and 2002 Raul had trials with the Internazionale Milano and the AC Milan but the lack of the European passport closed to him, for that moment, the doors of Europe. EL POLLO JUMPS TO PROFESSIONAL AT THE AGE OF 16 MY FIRSTS STEPS AS A PROFESSIONAL FUTBOL PLAYER At the age of 16 years old he signed his first professional contract with the team Deportivo Italchacao of Venezuela. Thanks to his speed and quality shown at the ground field, Raul Cavallieri decided to put him to play in a new position, as right back. This position and the right winger are the ones where he established himself."El Pollo" played for Italchacao from July 2002 to May 2005, with this team he had the chance to participate in the qualifying rounds of South American Cup in 2003 and 2004. When Italchacao was relegated to the second division Raul became at the goal of several Venezuela Teams, with Caracas FC and Aragua FC amongst others. Finally the scale was in favor of Aragua FC and Raul signed with this team. After a brief course with the Aragua, he signed a contract with one of the biggest team of his country, the Caracas FC. In January 2007 he joined to Portuguesa FC on loan from Caracas for the next six months. That season he was a key player in the pursuit of the Portuguesa's goal: stay in the first division. EL POLLO BECOMES LEGIONARY AT YOUNG AGE ABROAD In July 2007, with just 22 years old Raul gives the jump to the foreigner football signing with Doxa Katakopias, team recently promoted to the Cypriot First Division. His good performance with the team of Nicosia attracted the interest of Enosis Paralimni FC, team with he signed for two years. After two seasons with Enosis, his good performance at the tournament 2009-2010 attracted once again the interest of biggest teams in the country, Apollon Limassol and Anorthosis Famagusta, amongst others. The winner of the Cyprus Cup made the most attractive offer and Raul signed with the team a contract for the next two years. In July 2011 due to serious economic problems affecting the team Gonzalez will join Anagennisis Derinya FC a newly promoted squad from the second division and one of the few with financial solvency at the time. NATIONAL TEAM EXPERIENCE VINOTINTO In what refers to its path with the National team of Venezuela. Raul was part of the U-20 that played the Championship in January 2005 in Manizales Colombia "Youth of America" as qualifying for the World Cup of that age. Then in 2011 Raul is rewarded for his performance and continuity in the foreign country which makes it part of the absolute national team "vinotinto" in his call to face two oficial friendly matches again Argentina and Guinea AFTER A BRIEF RETURN TO VENEZUELA, EL POLLO COMES BACK TO EUROPE EL POLLO GOES TO POLAND At the beginning of the 2012 for personal reasons as the birth of his son Raul decides to return to Venezuela to his hometown Team Carabobo FC, even considering various offers in Europe. 6 months later receives the offer of GKS Belchatow from Poland, team that came following in his footsteps from years ago, with the intension of trying himselft on a best recognized level in Europe Raul returns playing 29 matches on his firsts season, being one of the best Rightbacks defenders in the tournament back then.

After 1974 Anorthosis used many football stadiums all around Cyprus like Dasaki Stadium, Dimotiko Stadio Aradippou, Paralimni Stadium, Tsirion Stadium in Limassol, Old GSZ and Neo GSZ Stadium in Larnaka. The main enemy of Anorthosis used to be Nea Salamis FC but the rivalry has weathered out since they both are away from their homes in Famagusta.
