Paddington's knocked the Corgis off the top spot': William jokes with well-wishers at Sandringham that the iconic bear is now more popular and the Queen's beloved pets 'won't take that very well'Β  Senior royals visited mourners up and down the country today as King Charles III rests at Highgrove Kate told a woman she couldn't read all the cards 'or I would cry' while William said he was 'overwhelmed' In Manchester, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, hugged young boy called Josh who had gathered to meet her Meanwhile, Princess Royal, accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence, visited well-wishers in Glasgow Prince William joked that Paddington has 'knocked the Corgi off the top spot' and that the Queen's beloved pets 'won't take that very well' when visiting mourners in Sandringham today. The new Prince of Wales and Princess of Wales, both 40, stepped out of a dark Range Rover near to the estate's historic Norwich Gates where they warmly greeted by huge crowds who had waited behind metal barriers to see the couple. One well-wisher, Gemma Schultz, spoke to William after he noticed her baby wearing a top with Paddington on it and commented about the bear's popularity following the Queen's skit with the marmalade sandwich-loving character for her Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in June. The Prince joked: 'I was saying, I think Paddington might have knocked the Corgi off the top spot now. The Corgis won't take that very well.' Following the discussion, Gemma told BBC News that William and Kate were 'nice and genuine people', adding: 'We spoke to William and we spoke to Kate, they both said about his little outfits, how nice they were... All the things that they are doing for everyone is just so nice.' The Prince and Princess of Wales, who stayed for almost an hour, chatting to royal fans young and old, looked deep in thought as they read the messages on the sea of floral tributes that have been left behind at the gates to the royal residence. William told a woman waiting in the crowds that yesterday's procession was 'very difficult' and 'brought back a few memories' of walking behind his mother Diana's coffin, before - close to tears - saying to her: 'Don't cry now, you'll start me off'. William was also heard telling a mourner the Queen was 'everyone's grandmother', and saying Prince George, nine, understood that she had died but Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, less so. Meanwhile, Kate told a woman she would burst into tears if she read too many sympathy cards. With King Charles III enjoying a much-deserved rest at his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, the rest of his family took up the mantle - with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, hugging mourners in Manchester and Princess Anne visiting

(16 May 2018) CELEBS TALK ROYAL WEDDING As Prince Harry's fast-approaching marriage to American Meghan Markle is days away, more celebrities are weighing in on the royal wedding. "Inside the NBA" personality and former NBA Player Shaquille O'Neal won't be watching because he's jealous he's not going to marry the queen. "I've been trying to marry the queen for some years now. I realized if I married the queen, it would not make me the king. But good luck to them, and I hope everything goes well. Hopefully they will stay married forever," O'Neal said. Cedric the Entertainer, who was representing "the Last O.G." joked about being ready. "Well I have my TiVo set and I'm not going to miss one moment. I've got tea ready. I've got crumpets. I'm gonna drink. I've got a little dog, a corgi that's going to join me. It's going to be awesome. I'm going to wear a kilt. I don't know. I know she's from England, but for some reason I just want to have a kilt on," he said. His co-star, Tiffany Haddish gave Markle a shoutout. "I'm definitely going to watch. She's not only an actress, she from LA, like me," Haddish said. And what advice does she have for them? "To have fun, no matter what. I think the most important thing in a marriage is to enjoy each other and have fun." "Miracle Workers" star Daniel Radcliffe wishes them well, even though he has little interest in the wedding "I am very happy for them. But I don't have any particular feelings about the wedding. I hope it goes very well, and they have a great day. But I won't be watching," Radcliffe said. Then there's Michael Moore. "Why is there never any, like a big TV special about a royal divorce? You know - you know more people get divorced, I more than half of marriages end up in divorce, why don't we have a royal divorce show. Or everybody over there covering the royal divorces, you know, it's all it's all mixed up. I'm waiting for the royal divorce. I'll watch that show." Chris Harrison, host of the dating competitions how "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelor" has attended his fair share of weddings, and officiated one or two. He'd like to marry Meghan and Harry. "I'm still waiting to get the call. I find it hard to believe that Meghan and Harry have not called me to officiate the wedding. There's still a few days left so we'll see. I would assume they would want me to do it. It's the biggest, most dramatic wedidng of all time. Who else would do it?" Former "The West Wing" star, Richard Schiff, is more political with his beliefs. "I'm still upset that the royalty exists so for me it's political. They're spending a ton of money, not only on the royals but on maintaining the royalty but also on this wedding and you know the Brits seem to like it but I know a lot of them don't so on that note, you know, it's tricky for me." He went on to say that he feels for Harry. "I feel for Prince Harry because he's the second. He doesn't get anything. He doesn't wear a crown... His older brother gets everything." Then he softened saying he's happy for him because William and Harry lost their mother at a young age. "That part is touching. The Diana part. The Diana part is really interesting because she was quite a special human and those kids went through a lot obviously."
