Only Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had put up those numbers in a postseason game before Friday night — and Wembanyama got there faster than any of them, in just his seventh playoff game. Stephon Castle quietly put together one of the most efficient games of his young playoff career in Game 3, finishing with 13 points, 12 assists, and a team-high plus-17 rating, while De'Aaron Fox added 17 points. On the other side, Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle combined to shoot just 8-of-34 from the floor, unable to get anything going against Wembanyama's rim protection. Minnesota comes into tonight desperate. Anthony Edwards gave them everything he had in the loss — 32 points and 14 rebounds — and it still was not enough. Edwards hit a buzzer-beating 31-footer to end the first quarter, and the Wolves clawed back from missing their first 12 shots of the game to tie it at halftime, but San Antonio pulled away in the third quarter by going 6-of-10 from three. --- THE INJURY FACTOR Minnesota is playing shorthanded and they have been all series. Anthony Edwards has been battling a knee injury that sidelined him late in the Denver series, and his status has been a question mark heading into every game. The Wolves need him healthy and they need more from the players around him. It’s been almost half a decade since the Flyers made their way to the second round of the NHL playoffs—an eternity in the world of sports. The year was 2018, and the Flyers were coming off a rollercoaster regular season, finishing 8th in the East.
