Today on Off The Roster, the biggest story in hockey takes center stage as the Toronto Maple Leafs officially fire head coach Craig Berube. Lindsay Dunn, Dan Riccio & Cabbie Richards are joined by Nick Alberga from Leafs Morning Take who reacts to the stunning news, break down what led to the decision, what it means for the future of the organization, and the direction of the Toronto Maple Leafs in pursuit of their next head coach. Plus, Dave Pagnotta of the Fourth Period adds his insights about the type of head coach Toronto should pursue, speculates on a list of potential head coaching candidates for the Maple Leafs as well as looks forward to hearing from General Manager John Chayka about his "organizational shift" in a press conference scheduled for 12:30p ET on Wednesday, May 13th (after the show). There is discussion surrounding Auston Matthews and what this move signals for Toronto heading into a massive offseason. Finally, Michael Augello believes Toronto's decision should be an inspired one and not hire a recycled head coach to take the Toronto Maple Leafs into a new era. Among the candidates to consider, Manny Malhotra (former Maple Leafs Assistant Coach), David Carle (University of Denver), John Gruden (Toronto Marlies Head Coach). We will get to (on Thursday) discuss the Buffalo Sabres’ huge win over the Montreal Canadiens and whether the series is now destined for seven games, while the guys react to the controversial goalie interference call that had fans furious and Brayden McNabb’s game misconduct in Ducks vs. Golden Knights. Plus, Marie-Philip Poulin delivers again in the PWHL playoffs, and the Blue Jays continue searching for answers after another frustrating extra innings loss with discussions surrounding Corbin’s start, Orelvis Piñango’s power surge, and whether Valenzuela or Tyler Heineman should stay in the mix once Alejandro Kirk returns. #OffTheRoster #NHLPlayoffs #MapleLeafs #BlueJays #BuffaloSabres #MontrealCanadiens #PWHL #AustonMatthews SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!! 👍 Proline: https://proline.olg.ca/ #Leafs #Raptors #BlueJays #Toronto Follow Off The Roster on Social Media @offtherosterpod Leave a voicemail at https://www.speakpipe.com/OffTheRoster

The Los Angeles Dodgers kept the same lineup ahead of the second game of their series against the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers are in desperate need of some offense, falling short yet again in their series opener against their divisional rivals. They scored just three runs in the game, ultimately losing to a late-inning surge from the visitors. Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start for the Dodgers on Tuesday, making his eighth start of the season for LA. He has been solid for the Dodgers this season, posting a 3.09 ERA through 43.2 innings pitched so far. He has 40 strikeouts under his belt, and has gone at least five innings in each of his starts so far this season. Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani leads the line for the Dodgers, and will look to break out of the slump which has plagued him for nearly two weeks now. The superstar has four hits in 36 at-bats in May, and has struggled to produce any offense for LA since the beginning of the month. He has just one homer since April 13. Shortstop Mookie Betts will bat second behind Ohtani, exactly where he batted upon his return from the injured list Monday. First baseman Freddie Freeman bats third, followed by right fielder Kyle Tucker and catcher Will Smith. One of the Dodgers’ hottest hitters in third baseman Max Muncy bats sixth, followed by center fielder Andy Pages, who is also on a decent run for LA. Left fielder Teoscar Hernandez will bat eighth, and second baseman Hyeseong Kim rounds out the lineup. Dodgers’ Lineup vs. Giants 1. Shohei Ohtani, DH 2. Mookie Betts, SS 3. Freddie Freeman, 1B 4. Kyle Tucker, RF 5. Will Smith, C 6. Max Muncy, 3B 7. Andy Pages, CF 8. Teoscar Hernandez, LF 9. Hyeseong Kim, 2B P. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, RHP Right-hander Adrian Houser will take the mound on Tuesday, and the Dodgers will look to capitalize on a weak point in the Giants’ rotation. Houser has a 6.19 ERA through seven starts, only striking out 19 batters through 36.1 innings pitched. He has allowed a home run in each of his last five starts, and has let multiple runs cross in every one of his outings this season. The Dodgers desperately need some help on offense, and could take advantage of a struggling pitcher to find the spark they need. Yamamoto will throw the first pitch of the game Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. PT. IN THE BUILDING | Spurs vs. Timberwolves Game 5 POST-GAME REACTION | 2026 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals Mike Taylor and Rudy Jay are back LIVE with your full post-game breakdown from Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The series is tied 2-2, Wembanyama is back, the Frost Bank Center crowd is unhinged, and everything is on the line tonight in San Antonio. We have got the full reaction, the biggest moments, and everything you need to know heading into a potential Game 6 in Minnesota. --- WHERE THIS SERIES STANDS This has been one of the most compelling playoff series in recent memory and Game 4 was the wildest chapter yet. Victor Wembanyama was ejected early in the second quarter after throwing an elbow that connected with Naz Reid's neck, drawing an automatic Flagrant 2 disqualification with roughly 32 minutes still left in the game. The crowd at Target Center went wild when he walked off — and what happened next was nothing short of remarkable. Dylan Harper and De'Aaron Fox each scored 24 points and Stephon Castle added 20 as the Spurs guards refused to fold, turning the rest of the night into a midrange clinic and actually building an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter without their franchise cornerstone. They nearly pulled it off without him. Anthony Edwards had other ideas. He finished with 36 points including 16 in the fourth quarter, hitting a 27-footer to spark a 12-3 run that flipped the game before Minnesota closed it out 114-109 to even the series at two games apiece. --- THE WEMBY SITUATION HEADING INTO TONIGHT The NBA determined not to add further punishment beyond the ejection itself, so Wembanyama was cleared to play in Game 5. Both De'Aaron Fox and Dylan Harper were listed as questionable heading into tonight — Fox with an ankle injury after being landed on by Ayo Dosunmu in Game 4, and Harper with left knee soreness — but both were officially available after making it through pregame warmups. The winner of this series faces the Oklahoma City Thunder, who swept the Los Angeles Lakers in four games and have been waiting on deck. The stakes could not be any higher. A trip to the Western Conference Finals is on the line tonight in San Antonio. --- THE BIG PICTURE This Spurs team was supposed to be building for the future. Instead they are one win away from the Conference Finals with their franchise player healthy and back in the lineup and the home crowd behind them. Wembanyama is averaging 18.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in the series, while Edwards is averaging 25.8 points on the other side. Two of the most exciting players on the planet, a series tied at two, winner take the momentum. This is what the NBA playoffs are made for. --- SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THE BELL — We are going LIVE after EVERY San Antonio Spurs playoff game this postseason. Don't miss a single take, breakdown, or debate. Mike Taylor and Rudy Jay will be here every step of the way on the road to a championship. On this segment of the Garden Level Podcast, hosts Cam Stuart and Dan Conlon are joined by Black N Gold Productions draft and prospects analyst Neil Simmons to debate one of the biggest questions facing the Boston Bruins this offseason: will the organization make a massive blockbuster trade to maximize the prime years of superstar David Pastrnak? Neil Simmons lays out why he believes the Bruins should seriously consider going all-in this summer — even if it means moving elite prospect James Hagens in a blockbuster package for proven No. 1 center Robert Thomas of the St. Louis Blues. The guys discuss why Boston’s lack of an elite top-line center has prevented the Bruins from fully capitalizing on Pastrnak’s prime, how Robert Thomas could immediately transform the Bruins’ offense, and whether trading a highly touted young prospect like Hagens is worth the risk if it reopens a legitimate Stanley Cup window. Cam Stuart, Dan Conlon, and Neil Simmons also break down what a realistic trade package could look like, whether the Blues would even entertain moving Thomas, and how aggressive Boston’s front office should be heading into a pivotal offseason for the franchise. 🔥 Topics Covered: • Should the Bruins go all-in this summer? • Why Neil Simmons would trade James Hagens • Could Robert Thomas become Boston’s No. 1 center? • Maximizing David Pastrnak’s Stanley Cup window • What a Bruins blockbuster trade package could look like • The future direction of the Bruins franchise 📺 Subscribe to the Garden Level Podcast for Bruins coverage, NHL trade rumors, prospect analysis, and weekly Boston hockey discussions with Cam Stuart and Dan Conlon.
