Era la primera carrera y solo 5 días después del test de pretemporada. Los equipos bastante hicieron con llegar al GP con dos coches y recambio para correr con garantías la primera cita de la temporada. Os dejo un repaso a algunas piezas y notas que me parecieron interesantes. Ferrari's major F1 problem is back - and it's lost a big strength
Ferrari’s title bid has started in a very disappointing way, after it was easily beaten by Red Bull and its lead car suffered the all too familiar fate of retiring because of an engine problem. New team boss Fred Vasseur said after the season opener in Bahrain that he needed to stick to what he had said in the build-up: that Ferrari could not win or lose the championship at the first race. But it clearly has a big task ahead to catch and beat Red Bull, and its troubled start to the new season didn’t even include a carryover of some of the positives it could take when things went wrong last year. GP Baréin F1 2023 - Fernando Alonso eclipsa el gran dominio de Red Bull | El vlog post-carrera
El Gran Premio de Baréin / Bahrein 2023 de Fórmula 1 nos dejó una de las mejores imágenes de los últimos años. Aston Martin obró el milagro con una de las mayores mejoras de los últimos tiempos y Fernando Alonso elevó ese monoplaza al podio, obteniendo una espectacular tercera posición tras pelear en pista y tener que adelantar a George Russell, Carlos Sainz y Lewis Hamilton. El adelantamiento al inglés, el más especial. El asturiano ha vuelto a ocupar los titulares de la prensa y a eclipsar al mundo del automovilismo con una actuación con 41 años digna de cuando era un veinteañero. La gente que consideraba que ya no era tan rápido y que eran todo excusas se ha tenido que esconder. Con un buen coche, es capaz de esto y mucho más. Todo esto ha eclipsado la gran victoria del equipo Red Bull, con un Max Verstappen intratable y con un Checo Pérez que completa el doblete en el podio. El mexicano tuvo que adelantar a Charles Leclerc para recuperar su plaza después de que este le adelantase en la salida. Y lo que da miedo de verdad es que, por la radio, a Verstappen y a Pérez les tuvieron que frenar al considerar que no era necesario ir tan rápidos. Mi predicción del campeonato 2023 de Fórmula 1 | Víctor Abad
La temporada F1 2023 está a escasos días de empezar con el GP de Baréin / Bahréin. Precisamente en este circuito se ha disputado hace nada la pretemporada, de solamente tres días, donde todos los equipos y pilotos han probado sus vueltas de clasificación y simulaciones de carrera. Estos tres días de testing han sido muy confusos. Muchas dudas no se han resuelto y se han sembrado aún más incógnitas. Red Bull parece la gran favorita, con una Ferrari dudosa con la degradación de las gomas y una Mercedes inestable. Aston Martin ha sido la gran revelación con esas grandes vueltas de Fernando Alonso, mientras que McLaren y Alpine han estado más que discretos. En los test es muy difícil saber la velocidad y ritmo real de cada uno, pero al final hay que combinar datos, con sensaciones, con estadísticas y tirar un poco de bola de cristal para saber como va cada uno y como pueden llegar a la primera carrera. Why Ferrari and Mercedes are the only teams not copying Red Bull's F1 car
Nothing that’s happened in F1 testing has dented Red Bull’s status as pre-season favourite in 2023. It set an ominous pace over the three days in Bahrain and once again looks like the car to beat. What testing has done is prove that main rivals Ferrari, which looked quick over a lap but struggled more over long runs, and Mercedes, which battled balance problems, are determined to go their own way with their cars. Other than Mercedes and Ferrari, almost every team in F1 has edged more in the direction of Red Bull’s concept – save for Haas, which is locked into a more Ferrari-esque style owing to their shared components. That’s because Red Bull is F1’s most successful car and, presumably, because those teams have evaluated Red Bull’s ideas back at their factories and seen enough to make them believe it’s the right way to go for these still-young ground effect regulations. So why are Mercedes and Ferrari so convinced that their alternative approaches are going to work?
