Hoy es un día histórico. Stefano Peschiera consiguió la medalla de bronce en vela (categoría dinghy masculino), la primera presea para Perú en los Juegos Olímpicos París 2024. El velerista hizo historia, ya que ningún peruano subió al podio olímpico desde hace 32 años. Esta también es la quinta medalla peruana en los Juegos Olímpicos y la primera de bronce. La última medalla de la delegación peruana fue de la mano de Juan Giha con su plata en tiro en Barcelona 1992.
