Back to Australian Trout Fishing After New Zealand Success | Tough Day on the River | Gloucester NSW First trout fishing session back home in Australia after an epic trip to New Zealand with Spencer in March 2026. I headed to the Gloucester region on a beautiful clear river with zero expectations… and the river delivered exactly that! 5 hours of hard fishing with the Euro nymphing setup, switching between nymphs and dries, and I finally landed the smallest trout I’ve ever caught. A proper silver fingerling to bring me back down to earth!
