Uruguay le ganó por 1-0 a Estados Unidos a un apretado partido disputado en el Arrowhead Stadium de Kansas City, por la tercera jornada del Grupo C de la Copa América 2024, y dejó afuera al anfitrión, que perdió el boleto a manos del Panamá triunfante ante Bolivia en simultáneo. A tono con lo que se viene viendo en la Copa América, ambos conjuntos jugaron a matar a morir el primer tiempo, incluyendo con ello una altísima dosis de pierna fuerte y empellones varios. Uno de ellos se llevó a Maximiliano Araujo con una conmoción cerebral tras chocar con Tim Ream, más tarde Folarin Balogun salió en el local absolutamente dolorido. ¿Chances?
