Nevada opened Day 2 of the 2021 Mammoth Sports Construction Crossover Classic by topping George Mason 88-69 on Nov. 23 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Wolf Pack was led by guard Grant Sherfield, who scored a career-high 31 points. After the game, Nevada coach Steve Alford and Patriots coach Kim English addressed the media. Both teams will play one more game in the event.

South Dakota State opened the Mammoth Sports Construction Classic with a 102-75 victory over Nevada in non-conference basketball at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The game was held on Nov. 22, 2021. The Jackrabbits set a new venue record for most points scored in regulation by an NCAA Division I men's team. The Sanford Pentagon opened in 2013.
