South Dakota State opened the Mammoth Sports Construction Classic with a 102-75 victory over Nevada in non-conference basketball at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The game was held on Nov. 22, 2021. The Jackrabbits set a new venue record for most points scored in regulation by an NCAA Division I men's team. The Sanford Pentagon opened in 2013. Afterward, Wolf Pack coach Steve Alford addressed the media. He was followed by Jackrabbits coach Eric Henderson and forward Douglas Wilson.
