The Michigan Wolverines have destroyed the 9th ranked Wisconsin Badgers, by a final score of 77-54. 1st Half: The Michigan Wolverines went into halftime with a 40-23 and held Wisconsin scoreless after 6 minutes left in the half. Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner played tremendously, both scoring in double digits. Mike Smith added 7 points, but it was the inside defense, especially from Hunter Dickinson that helped Michigan get out to the strong lead. D’Mitrik Trice led the way for the Badgers with 7 points, but Aleem Ford, Micah Potter, Brad Davison and Nate Reuvers really struggled to get going. 2nd Half: Michigan continued their defensive highlights by finishing up a 36-3 run. Hunter Dickisnon, Franz Wagner, Isaiah Livers and Mike Smith were tremendous today. Next Week: Michigan Wolverines: The Michigan Wolverines will not play the ranked, Marcus Carr and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. These 2 teams have already played this year, which the Wolverines took by a landslide. Wisconsin Badgers: The Badgers will now place the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, led by Ron Harper Jr and Myles Johnson. We hope you enjoy the video. Brad Davison had 15 points and a career-high seven assists, and the No. 9 Wisconsin men's basketball team overcame a dreadful start to beat Nebraska 67-53 Tuesday night in the Big Ten opener for both teams. Micah Potter added 10 points and 11 rebounds and sparked a key 14-0 run late in the first half. Fifth-year senior Aleem Ford celebrated his 24th birthday with 13 points and eight rebounds to help the Badgers (7-1) earn their ninth straight conference victory and 15th straight home win.
Micah Potter scored 20 points and Aleem Ford added 12 to lead No. 12 Wisconsin to an 85-48 non-conference victory over short-handed No. 23 Louisville on Saturday in a rescheduled ACC/Big Ten Challenge game. The Badgers shot 54.4 percent, making 31 of 57 shots, including 16 of 25 from three-point range. Wisconsin also scored 19 points off 18 Louisville turnovers. Wisconsin's victory gives the Big Ten a 7-5 lead in the ACC/Big Ten challenge and enables them to clinch it.
Wisconsin used 3-point shooting and smothering defense to jump out to a 33-16 halftime lead over Rhode Island Wednesday afternoon and the Rams never recovered. The Badgers' lead grew to as many as 20 in the second half before posting a 73-62 win to improve to 4-1 on the season. Senior Brad Davison led Wisconsin with 23 points, going a perfect 12-for-12 at the free throw line. Micah Potter added 13 points and a team-high 7 rebounds while Aleem Ford chipped in 11 points.
Tyler Wahl provided the first-half spark, and the Badgers never looked back in an 82-42 win over Green Bay on Tuesday at the Kohl Center. The sophomore forward recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Micah Potter had 14 points, Aleem Ford and Nate Reuvers had 13 each, while Brad Davison chipped in 10 points to round out five Badgers in double-figure scoring.
