Berjumpa Qatar, Garuda Nusantara sukses mencatatkan dua gol dan mengunci kemenangan 2-1 di Stadion SRC Mladost, Cakovec, Kroasia. "Senang kami mampu mengalahkann Qatar meski kami tertinggal terlebih dahulu. Pemain bekerja keras dan pantang menyerah selama pertandingan," kata pelatih Timnas Indonesia U-19, Shin Tae-yong. In September 2019, PSSI officially submits Indonesia bid as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2021 and Indonesia competed with Peru, Brazil, and three Arab countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates). With the prayers, efforts, supports, and cooperation of all parties especially Indonesian football fans. On 24 October 2019, Indonesia was officially chosen to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup. It was officially announced by President of FIFA, Mr. Gianni Infantino in Shanghai, China. It is such an honor for PSSI can show how beautiful Indonesia is to the world and get international public trust especially FIFA to become the host country of the 2021 FIFA U-21 World Cup and it’s the first time for Indonesia. In Indonesia, football is also one of thing that unites us all because 77% of Indonesian people are categorized as football enthusiast. In the total population, Indonesia is the biggest football enthusiast in the world. From this, we invite all Indonesian people to work together, give a great image for Indonesia to be the great host country and memorable event, not only for Indonesia but also for all athletes and football fans from all over the world.
