In September 2019, PSSI officially submits the Indonesia bid as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2021, and Indonesia competed with Peru, Brazil, and three Arab countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates). With the prayers, efforts, supports, and cooperation of all parties especially Indonesian football fans. On 24 October 2019, Indonesia was officially chosen to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup. It was officially announced by the President of FIFA, Mr. Gianni Infantino in Shanghai, China. But, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event is canceled and will be held in 2023. It is such an honor for PSSI can show how beautiful Indonesia is to the world and get international public trust especially FIFA to become the host country of the 2023 FIFA U-21 World Cup and it’s the first time for Indonesia. Celtics News: Jayson Tatum, Ties Larry Bird Record in HUGE Comeback Win vs Spurs
The Celtics faced off with the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, and by halftime were being booed off the court at TD Garden by their own fans. San Antonio had a chokehold lead, 77-48 going into the 2nd half. The Spurs shot 71.2% from the field against Boston in the first half, and Jayson Tatum was the only consistent scorer for Boston. However, Boston gradually chipped away slowly at the Spurs lead, with Tatum carrying the team on his back. The Celtics scored 80 points combined in the second half to push the game into overtime. Thanks to late game heroics from Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Aaron Nesmith and #JaysonTatum, Boston won the game 143-140 in overtime. They became only the second team since 1954 to come back from a halftime deficit of 29 points or more, and completed the third-largest comeback in NBA history. Jayson Tatum was the story of the night, tying Larry Bird's franchise-best single game scoring record with 60 points. Teammate Jaylen Brown spoke on the moment he shared after the game with Jayson Tatum on his career night. The Celtics are now 34-30 on the season, with a half game lead over Miami for the 6th seed. Boston is now in a virtual tie with the Hawks, but Atlanta holds the tiebreaker. The Knicks remain a game and a half ahead of both teams in fourth place. Don Newcombe, nicknamed "Newk", was an American professional baseball pitcher in Negro league and Major League Baseball who played for the Newark Eagles (1944–45), Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers (1949–1951 and 1954–58), Cincinnati Reds (1958–1960), and Cleveland Indians (1960). Newcombe was the first pitcher to win the Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and Cy Young Awards during his career. This distinction would not be achieved again until 2011, when Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, who was Rookie of the Year in 2006, won the Cy Young and MVP awards. In 1949, he became the first black pitcher to start a World Series game. In 1951, Newcombe was the first black pitcher to win twenty games in one season.[1] In 1956, the inaugural year of the Cy Young Award, he became the first pitcher to win the National League MVP and the Cy Young in the same season. Through the series’ first 5 slugfests, neither team had scored more than 85 points and Indiana had been held below 70 in two of them. Detroit’s low point came in game 4 when they posted just 68. Boston’s 83.0 PPG in their 2002 Semi-Final win against Detroit and Toronto’s 39.3% FG in their 2016 first round victory over Indiana rank 2nd in those respective statistical categories. The 03-04 Pistons set and challenged all-time records during the regular season as well. They tied for the 3rd lowest opponent average since 1954, allowing just 84.26 PPG.
