West Indies had made a strong comeback in the match by picking the wickets of Haider Ali (31) and Mohammad Nawaz in quick succession. Mohammed Rizwan (38) and Haider once again threatened to take the game away but both of them could not convert their starts. An error of judgement by both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan ended the former's innings early after Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan pretty much outplayed West Indies in all three departments, beating them comprehensively by 63 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series opener on Monday.
