The Bayer Leverkusen coach was obviously satisfied with the outcome (3-1 on aggregate) and denied the possibility that his players might have already been thinking at the next opponent before this second leg - Inter, 10th August. Steven Gerrard acknowledged the superiority of their opponent over the two legs (1-0, 2-1) and even earmarked the German side as 'one of the favourites' for the final win.
